I think your take of the song is very interesting.. personally I think the soft suttle vocals in that song are a must have for that song but I like how u sped up the tempo with your strummin... but u are strumming way too hard though, try using a thinner pick also.... sounds like you are using a medium or heavy pick and those are more for lead guitar players that are not strumming open position chords...u have a lot of talent so dont stop what you are doing!
