Got a question for you that maybe interested for others to know :P. I tried playing KH on PCSX2 as well, it's running fine but the intro cinematic after you start a new game the top and bottom borders get filled with with the KH main menu images, I was wondering if you experienced that before, if so how did you fix it? Thank you :)
@TheShinraCorp I have seen this and while I don't know much about how PCSX2 works my guess is that, depending on your video plugin and it's settings, the video isn't properly blanking when it starts playing the FMV. You might want to try adjusting your video plugin settings or try a different plugin altogether and see if that fixes the issue. It's been a long time since I messed with this emulator (check the upload date) so I'm afraid I can't be much more helpful then that.
@Lilboyjust194 Nothing personal I've just been spending the last 4 years telling people no over and over again and they just keep asking so I was forced to finally change the title so hopefully people that might ask will get the message.
@Agusloquillo I bought it and that has nothing to do with this video. I was only showing the progress of the emulator at the time not intending to open the door to these kinds of questions which keep coming non stop for the last 4 years since I uploaded it. Does no one pay attention to the annotation that says "DO NOT ask where to download this game!" at the beginning of the video that I was forced to put on it about 2 years ago?
@RENNE1ROBERTS Haldrie facepalms and points to his reply to RENIUSHI in the "Uploader Comments" section. Honestly does no one know how to use Google these days?
@megaanimegirl98 From what I've seen those PS2 to PS3 "HD" ports don't look much better then the original game to begin with. Hell PCSX2 makes the game look almost exactly like the PS3 versions of these rereleased games if you turn on all of the video enhancements.
@ganaslaya This is a 4 year old version of this emulator running on a laptop that isn't exactly known for being powerful. @peanutheadrules The link to the emulator is in the description. As for the game that is copyrighted material and I have tried to make it very clear that I WILL NOT give links to copyrighted material on my channel nor will I tolerate anyone else doing so in the comments of my videos. This emulator will run the real game disc from your DVD drive if you own it. Also you will need a fairly good computer to run this emulator as it needs a lot of resources to run.
@Haldrie i completely understand, just saw this video here and thought i'd ask... i used to own this game when i was younger and traded my PS2 along with about 40 something games and now i heavily regret it.. even though it saved me close to $200 when the 360 was first coming out! well ill see if i even have it anymore, i know i have the strat guide still but i didnt know you can play it straight from the disc on your pute. i am a pc gamer so mine is perfectly fine.
@Flounder334 Almost all the settings are on default with the exception of some settings that actually make the game run a bit slower in most cases but make it look nicer. The trick to get this emulator to run well is to have a computer with a fast CPU as well as a powerful GPU. If I'm not mistaken Kingdom Hearts is more of a CPU based game so the faster your CPU the better it will run but don't ever expect this to run on an Intel based GPU.
@Flounder334 Due to the high computer performance requirements that this emulator needs to run I try to encourage people to just buy a PS2 and a real copy of the game and if not do a soft mod with FMCB and use ESR to play a copy you can find somewhere else (don't ask me where as I'm not telling and my copy came from my brother's original and I now own a real copy of this game). It's just a lot cheaper to do everything on a real PS2 since you can get one used for not a lot of money.
@Haldrie well could you look and tell me what the exact configuration settings are because i really want to play this game on my pc without slow performance
@Flounder334 Unfortunately the hard drive I had the emulator stored on died on me a while back and almost everything was lost including all of my emulators and game saves (as well as my entire iTunes library) so whatever settings I was using are long gone and for the most part forgotten. I remember tweaking only 2 settings in the video plugin but even at default it was already running about as fast as you see in this video. Like I said it all has to do with how fast your computer is.
@feyzinator No this game was a PlayStation 2 exclusive. There have been 2 Kingdom Hearts titles that were released for the NDS but all the other games so far have been for the PS2, PS3 and PSP as well as a release on a Japanese mobile phone/gaming device which is what the new Recoded game of the DS is a port of.
@feyzinator I take it back I don't think there has been a game released on the PS3 yet but most likely KH3 will be on it if they ever get around to finally making it (unless they did that whole HD remake thing that they've been doing with some old PS2 games like the God of War and Sly Cooper series).
PEOPLE!!!!!! IF YOU CAN PLAY CRYSIS AT MINIMAL TO RECOMENDED SETTINGS THEN YOU CAN PLAY THIS SO QUIT ASKING THIS GUY IF YOU CAN RUN THIS AND THERE ARE A LOT OF WEBSITES WHERE YOU CAN SEE IF YOU CAN RUN CRYSIS SO INSTEAD OF WRITING A PARAGRAPH ABOUT YOUR SPECS GO TO GOOGLE AND LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!
Thanks I'm gonna try to download some. I think I'm just gonna download about 1 a month because a 12 gb usage cap is a bitch. How much of these games do you have?
Do the games look or run any better if you have a good pc and I have a usage cap on my Internet so how much mb do most of the games use. And can it play japan ps2 games like kingdom hearts 2 final mix. Sorry for asking so much questions.
@ndaniel1997 This emulator is capable of upscaleing PS2 games and making them look better then the so called HD remakes on the PS3 if my sources are correct. They can play any region game provided you use a bios for that region. Most games however were made to fit on a single layer DVD (2 -4.5GB) while some were made to fit on double layer discs (5-8GB). Only a small handful were made for CDs. Some games do compress to about half their size in some cases though.
Also thank you for being the first person to leave a decent comment on these videos that actually relates to them. In 4 years all I've been getting is "where can I download this game" and "will this work on my PC" among others. There have been a few comments here and there that were ok but this one is by far the best comment I've gotten on these videos. Even if it is mostly a series of questions.
@amanda17505 This is NOT running on a real PS2. This is running on a program on my computer called an emulator which lets me play games from one system on another system it was never intended to be played on. This is an early version of this emulator and it has gone through many improvements since I posted this video.
@kilikolo56 The newer versions of this emulator are suppose to be a lot faster so for all I know you probably could. Some games require a lot of CPU power over GPU though so you should also take that in to account.
hmm i just came to watch to see what powers you picked and gave up; I started a file and picked stronger defense/shield, and weak sword/strength. I was a fool! I quit that file quickly because it took too long to kill enemies, so I started playing a file from a year ago. Judging by my skills, I chose strong attack, and weakened magic.
@WWEAWSOME1 It's a PC gaming controller made by Logitech. A quick google search could have told you that instead of waiting 6 hours for me to reply. Not that I'm trying to be rude or anything.
@johncena19961 Who do you mean? I don't know of any "link"...I really haven't played that much of it so I'm guessing you're referring to something I've yet to learn about.
@Pokefreak488 I've already made it very clear (including the annotation I've been forced to add to the begining of this video because of these questions) that I will not promote piracy on my channel by giving links to copyrighted material. If you still have the game you can make a disc image of it or use it directly from your computer's DVD drive. Also you need a fairly powerful computer to run this emulator. It would be cheaper just to get a use PS2.
@MrKeegass Why? Half of those rerelease games look worse then what PCSX2 can do with the original game with all of it's enhancements. Even if I did own a PS3 I don't care for those rereleases of native PS2 game. Not to mention the joke that is the Tomb Raider HD pack which I'm sure is nothing more then the 360 versions ported to the PS3. It's just another way for them to squeeze even more money out of these franchises and to try and promote the next game in the series. [End Rant]
@Haldrie calm down Mr. Negative, it would actually be a good idea for people who don't own the games or a ps2 but do have a ps3. A revised HD version of the original and second kingdom hearts for $40 would be a much better deal then buying a ps2 and the games.
@isue411 I just picked the generic choice for this video. I really don't use magic a lot though unless I really need it. Most of the time I just hack and slashing my way though the game. It's been a while since I've played it though.
@megamanloner31 So other then the fact that that song happens to be the song used in the opening FMV in this game what does your comment have to do with this video?
The lower speed and sound lag is kinda annoying. Instead of watching the cutscenes in game I watch them on youtube X3 and play the game without sound.
Can you give me your pcsx2 configuration for KH? I see that you can pull 100% form your computer. I'm not very good in using this emulator. Can you give me some tips?
@MrTomEdo Your problem might be your hardware. You need a somewhat powerful computer to run this emulator at playable speeds (even with the newer versions which are suppose to run faster). My best suggestion is just to buy a real PS2. Also this is probably the only game I've gotten to run at full fps but only about 60% of the time. There were several times, like when Sora was falling into black, that it dropped the fps in half or worse.
Just to say, I did this recently. Is there anyway to map all eight directions of an xbox 360 controller? Also, someone asked something about the resolution. The graphics actually do improve. There's an option to use the native graphics. I use 1024 x 1024 and there was an obvious graphical improvement.
@TheBSRProductions The PS2 does not have 8 way directional support so no I don't think you can use the diagonal directions on the 360 d-pad. I have also been made aware of PCSX2's ability to upscale the graphics in the newer versions but this version didn't have it.
@nicdawise If you are using the keyboard plugins then you won't be able to walk because it registers each key as pushing the analog stick all the way in each direction. You will have to use an analog PC controller to play.
@Haldrie hi. i got a control for the PC which looks like the ps2 control. ive tried both the keyboard and the control but they both dont seem to work. thank you for trying
@nicdawise Are you sure you are barely pushing the analog stick forward to walk? How fast he walks/runs depends on how much you push the stick in any directly.
@kingdomhearts810 Yes it is possible to run the game directly from your computer's DVD drive using this emulator and the right CDVD plugin. Even with the improvements I've heard about with the new versions I would still recommend just buying a PS2 and playing it on that. It will save you a lot of headache in the end.
@TacticalShinobi Are you seriously asking me the very question that I said DO NOT ASK in the annotation at the start of this video? *looks at copy of real game on his shelf* The emulator will load both a disc image and the real game from your computer's DVD drive depending on what CDVD plugin you use with the emulator.
Sorry I know you said not to ask where to download anything but I can't find a Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2 rom anywhere XD. I have had PCX2 for a while and I have some other roms but I just can't find those. If you could send me a message or comment back It would be nice. If not still thanks for letting me know that they are at least out there.
PS: If you tweak your throttle and frame skip a bit you can run a rom without that annoying audio repeat every once in a while.
@WindAlchemistCa My thing is that you can just as easily buy the real games. I'm not encouraging piracy and you can run the real disc from you computer's DVD drive with this emulator so I don't see any reason to start posting links and risking getting my channel shut down because of it. I own every USA Kingdom Hearts game and it didn't cost me that much to get them so I know they aren't that hard to get. Also this is a really old version of the emulator which is why it runs so slow.
There are 3 emulators to pick what did u install?PCSX2 0.9.7 beta Full installer?PCSX2 0.9.7 beta Web installer?orPCSX2 Linux 0.9.7 Beta r3119 (06/01/10)??? plz tell meh!!!
@saxon161 There is a setting to change the resolution but I think it just resizes the window and doesn't actually render the game any higher. I never really understood people's need to run Gamecube games in HD considering it's not enhancing the texture maps at all. I've seen the videos on here showing it in HD but I can still see some blurriness to the textures causing it not to look any better then what I see running in on my TV.
@Haldrie You can use filters to get rid of all of that blurryness on the Dolphin emulator now and it looks crisp similar to PC games today. I can't remember what filter it was but it makes it so the character and the entire map is HD as opposed to just a HD character walking around in a blurry map.
@abinadabaz Because the last thing I want to do is promote piracy on my channel and that isn't the point of these videos. I only uploaded them to show off the progress of the emulator so far for people that might be interested. This video only shows a very early version of the emulator and newer versions are way beyond what is being shown in these videos.
@ryllie07 It is possible to play using the keyboard with special controller plugins provided on the official web site but I highly recommend getting some sort of PC controller or PS2 to PC adapter because using the keyboard gives you only so much control and a controller will allow you to quickly respond to what is going on in the game. After all these games were designed for a controller and using anything else can make it a nightmare to play depending on the game.
@Haldrie actually it depends on how well you'r hand eye cordination and how used to the keybored controles you are, for instence my friend said the legend of zelda twilight princess was impossible to play with the keybored (which it isn't) mostly because she uses game controlers and such. iv goten half way through the game with no deaths because i ditched my game controler and went to keybored even if it takes a bit more skill to use a keybored (no offence intended) pardon my spelling please
i used the lilypad n entered all my controls, but when i applied n pressed ok, it doesnt work! o n i also go another one called SSSPSX Pad but i also cant input the left analog stick controls, plz help? which 1 did u use?
Hey everyone I'm using PCSX by matel the windows seven version.. it works 98% with kingdom hearts 2 and i'm satisfide with that but when i tried it with KH 1 it freezes when Donald freacks and tells goofy and queen minnie is gone!!
I want to know if this is a problem with the emulator.. or what should i use that would work ?
Ehhh...Haldrie can i ask u something?I own a ps2 and the kingdom hearts 1 game, but when you say you can run the game directly from the PC's DVD drive, how exactly do i do that?i have pcsx 2.0.9.6 version :O
I don't understand your question. If you are wondering out to rip an ISO from a real disc you don't have to since the emulator can run the disc directly from your PC's DVD drive.
MagicISO and PowerISO are terrible hacks of UltraISO. ImgBurn does everything almost anyone would need to do as far as ripping and burning CDs, DVDs and even Blu-Ray (provided you had a Blu-Ray burner that is) and it's 100% free. It's made by the same person that created DVD Decrypter.
The video plugin has a full screen option which you can set the resolution in the plugin and use alt+enter (if I remember correctly) to enable and disable full screen, however every time I used it the emulator always crashed on me and nearly crashed my computer along with it. In this video the emulator is still in windowed mode at a resolution of 1024x768 and I simply locked the S-Video output on that area of the screen. You can see a blue line on the top from the title bar.
I captured this using my laptop's S-Video and Line-Out. I then fed it back to my laptop using a USB video capture device and the way I captured it uses almost no system resources since it only saves the stream from the device and doesn't preview it on the computer while it's recording.
Then please go to your local game store and buy a copy because I've already said a million times in comments, in the video descriptions and in an annotation that I had to add to the video because people won't quit asking me where to download it. What you are asking is ILLEGAL and would be a violation of YouTube's Terms of Use so please STOP ASKING!!! Also for the record I own an actual copy of this game and I own 2 PS2s.
ok man I got 2 ps2s as well as a ps3 slim and have every kh game available. I wanna play it on my computer just cuz its cool to play on the go. I have my bio on my computer but it wont show up in the directory. Any help?
Unless you have a really good PC emulation might not be the best thing for you. It's cheaper just to buy a used PS2 for about $40 and hack it to run Free McBoot and ESR then you can run all the imports you want without having to wonder if they will work or not.
Oh forget it XD Learning how to burn wii and gamecubes for my wii was enough o.o I'll just wait till the day kingdom hearts will come to the ps3. One day.....one day......
Most likely but I haven't used this emulator in a long time. There have been a lot of updates that I have not kept up with which, from what I've seen in videos and various other things, is running a lot faster than what is shown in this video. I now mostly run my games on my real PS2 using ESR.
There are some plugins on the PCSX2 web site that allow you to map the analog inputs to keyboard keys but you are much better off just buying a controller for your computer or if you have a PSX or PS2 controller you can buy a USB adaptor for a lot less then a controller would cost.
This emulator can actually run the actual disc straight from your DVD-ROM drive or from a disc image stored on your computer. If you are looking for a download of this or any other game then you have come to the wrong place as I have made it perfectly clear that I WILL NOT give download links to anyone even if I knew where you could get it. I own the original game and I encourage anyone that likes this game to go buy it as well if you don't already own it.
You will have to take some time setting it up and you will need a decent computer to be able to handle it. If you can already run it on a real PS2 though I would suggest sticking with that.
That happened to me when I first tried out v0.9.4. I think it's a video card driver issue. I've just been using hacks on my real PS2 to play games now instead of bothering with emulation. It's a lot easier and I don't have to worry about my PC specs or a bunch of ridiculous configurations that come with plugin based emulators.
It's not software exactly but a special A/V capture device that I'm using to record from the S-Video output on my laptop. I actually show this device and explain in a bit more detail how I manage to record without effecting my computer's performance in the first part of my Crysis videos.
What disc 2 are you talking about? Both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are only 1 disc. I have also managed to get a copy of Re: Chain of Memories but haven't spent much time playing it.
There are plugins you can download to allow you to use a keyboard and mouse but because most of the games on the PS2 use the analog sticks I highly recommend getting a controller and using that instead. If you already have a PS2 (or a PSX or PS2 controller) you can get a cheap USB adaptor to connect it to your computer from Wal-Mart that will work with this emulator.
1. All you do to "install" the emulator is extract the archive anywhere you want to put it and place the PS2 bios files in the Bios directory. After that just configure the plugins.
2. Did you not read the annotation at the very beginning of the video? I will NOT tell anyone where to download copyrighted material. If you own the game then you can run it from the original disc but if not then I suggest you buy it.
3. I have heard that the wireless controllers have issues with the left and right trigger buttons not working correctly so I would suggest using a different controller until Microsoft fixes this issue in the driver for those controllers.
This emulator also requires a lot of power to run so you might not be getting the same speed you see in this video unless you have a powerful computer. If you can get a real PS2 then it would be best to use that instead.
This reminds me sooooooo much of the old days; ah, nostalgia.

Haldrie 11 months ago
@Haldrie One on gba as well
mayrana2 10 months ago
@feyzinator I take it back I don't think there has been a game released on the PS3 yet but most likely KH3 will be on it if they ever get around to finally making it (unless they did that whole HD remake thing that they've been doing with some old PS2 games like the God of War and Sly Cooper series).

Thanks I'm gonna try to download some. I think I'm just gonna download about 1 a month because a 12 gb usage cap is a bitch. How much of these games do you have?
ndaniel1997 11 months ago
Do the games look or run any better if you have a good pc and I have a usage cap on my Internet so how much mb do most of the games use. And can it play japan ps2 games like kingdom hearts 2 final mix. Sorry for asking so much questions.
ndaniel1997 11 months ago
@ndaniel1997 This emulator is capable of upscaleing PS2 games and making them look better then the so called HD remakes on the PS3 if my sources are correct. They can play any region game provided you use a bios for that region. Most games however were made to fit on a single layer DVD (2 -4.5GB) while some were made to fit on double layer discs (5-8GB). Only a small handful were made for CDs. Some games do compress to about half their size in some cases though.
Haldrie 11 months ago
Also thank you for being the first person to leave a decent comment on these videos that actually relates to them. In 4 years all I've been getting is "where can I download this game" and "will this work on my PC" among others. There have been a few comments here and there that were ok but this one is by far the best comment I've gotten on these videos. Even if it is mostly a series of questions.

what the hell is wrong with your screen?
amanda17505 11 months ago
@amanda17505 This is NOT running on a real PS2. This is running on a program on my computer called an emulator which lets me play games from one system on another system it was never intended to be played on. This is an early version of this emulator and it has gone through many improvements since I posted this video.
Haldrie 11 months ago
@Haldrie aaaaa ok i thought something was wrong on your screen nevermind what i've wrote
amanda17505 11 months ago
@Haldrie hey my computer would have the requeriments to play this game? my computer has:
Nvidia Geforce 440 fx (video card)
1.8 gb RAM (velocity of the CPU)
64 mb (video card)
And I got another computer who has:
Nvidia Geforce 5500 (video card)
256 Ram (velocity of the CPU "this computer is very slow you know")
128 mb (video card)
kilikolo56 11 months ago
@kilikolo56 The newer versions of this emulator are suppose to be a lot faster so for all I know you probably could. Some games require a lot of CPU power over GPU though so you should also take that in to account.
Haldrie 11 months ago
hmm i just came to watch to see what powers you picked and gave up; I started a file and picked stronger defense/shield, and weak sword/strength. I was a fool! I quit that file quickly because it took too long to kill enemies, so I started playing a file from a year ago. Judging by my skills, I chose strong attack, and weakened magic.

Pokefreak488 1 year ago
@Pokefreak488 I've already made it very clear (including the annotation I've been forced to add to the begining of this video because of these questions) that I will not promote piracy on my channel by giving links to copyrighted material. If you still have the game you can make a disc image of it or use it directly from your computer's DVD drive. Also you need a fairly powerful computer to run this emulator. It would be cheaper just to get a use PS2.

MrKeegass 1 year ago
@MrKeegass Why? Half of those rerelease games look worse then what PCSX2 can do with the original game with all of it's enhancements. Even if I did own a PS3 I don't care for those rereleases of native PS2 game. Not to mention the joke that is the Tomb Raider HD pack which I'm sure is nothing more then the 360 versions ported to the PS3. It's just another way for them to squeeze even more money out of these franchises and to try and promote the next game in the series. [End Rant]
Haldrie 1 year ago
@Haldrie calm down Mr. Negative, it would actually be a good idea for people who don't own the games or a ps2 but do have a ps3. A revised HD version of the original and second kingdom hearts for $40 would be a much better deal then buying a ps2 and the games.
kingsmiles1 1 year ago
@isue411 I just picked the generic choice for this video. I really don't use magic a lot though unless I really need it. Most of the time I just hack and slashing my way though the game. It's been a while since I've played it though.

Can you give me your pcsx2 configuration for KH? I see that you can pull 100% form your computer. I'm not very good in using this emulator. Can you give me some tips?
MrTomEdo 1 year ago
@MrTomEdo Your problem might be your hardware. You need a somewhat powerful computer to run this emulator at playable speeds (even with the newer versions which are suppose to run faster). My best suggestion is just to buy a real PS2. Also this is probably the only game I've gotten to run at full fps but only about 60% of the time. There were several times, like when Sora was falling into black, that it dropped the fps in half or worse.
Haldrie 1 year ago
Just to say, I did this recently. Is there anyway to map all eight directions of an xbox 360 controller? Also, someone asked something about the resolution. The graphics actually do improve. There's an option to use the native graphics. I use 1024 x 1024 and there was an obvious graphical improvement.
TheBSRProductions 1 year ago
@TheBSRProductions The PS2 does not have 8 way directional support so no I don't think you can use the diagonal directions on the 360 d-pad. I have also been made aware of PCSX2's ability to upscale the graphics in the newer versions but this version didn't have it.
Haldrie 1 year ago
hey im stuck on the tutorial because it wont let me walk but i am sure i set the controls right. anyone know anything about it?
nicdawise 1 year ago
@nicdawise If you are using the keyboard plugins then you won't be able to walk because it registers each key as pushing the analog stick all the way in each direction. You will have to use an analog PC controller to play.
Haldrie 1 year ago
@Haldrie hi. i got a control for the PC which looks like the ps2 control. ive tried both the keyboard and the control but they both dont seem to work. thank you for trying
nicdawise 1 year ago
@nicdawise Are you sure you are barely pushing the analog stick forward to walk? How fast he walks/runs depends on how much you push the stick in any directly.

where do you get the kingdom hearts emulator?
WelcometoAusraila09 1 year ago
i have a question, if you already have the kingdom hearts game all you need is the emulator and you can run it from your DVD drive?
kingdomhearts810 1 year ago

If not still thanks for letting me know that they are at least out there.
PS: If you tweak your throttle and frame skip a bit you can run a rom without that annoying audio repeat every once in a while.
WindAlchemistCa 1 year ago
@WindAlchemistCa My thing is that you can just as easily buy the real games. I'm not encouraging piracy and you can run the real disc from you computer's DVD drive with this emulator so I don't see any reason to start posting links and risking getting my channel shut down because of it. I own every USA Kingdom Hearts game and it didn't cost me that much to get them so I know they aren't that hard to get. Also this is a really old version of the emulator which is why it runs so slow.

if you have a good pc, could this be ran in hd like dolphin??
saxon161 1 year ago
@saxon161 There is a setting to change the resolution but I think it just resizes the window and doesn't actually render the game any higher. I never really understood people's need to run Gamecube games in HD considering it's not enhancing the texture maps at all. I've seen the videos on here showing it in HD but I can still see some blurriness to the textures causing it not to look any better then what I see running in on my TV.
Haldrie 1 year ago
@Haldrie You can use filters to get rid of all of that blurryness on the Dolphin emulator now and it looks crisp similar to PC games today. I can't remember what filter it was but it makes it so the character and the entire map is HD as opposed to just a HD character walking around in a blurry map.

@abinadabaz Because the last thing I want to do is promote piracy on my channel and that isn't the point of these videos. This video only shows a very early version of the emulator and newer versions are way beyond what is being shown in these videos.
Haldrie 1 year ago
@lagrtz Well to be honest I have yet to really use PCSX2 in a long time but if you need help with it I will see what I can do to help you out.
Haldrie 1 year ago
Do you have to have a ps2 controller to play the game or can you just use a pc keyboard?
ryllie07 1 year ago
@ryllie07 It is possible to play using the keyboard with special controller plugins provided on the official web site but I highly recommend getting some sort of PC controller or PS2 to PC adapter because using the keyboard gives you only so much control and a controller will allow you to quickly respond to what is going on in the game. After all these games were designed for a controller and using anything else can make it a nightmare to play depending on the game.
Haldrie 1 year ago
@Haldrie actually it depends on how well you'r hand eye cordination and how used to the keybored controles you are, for instence my friend said the legend of zelda twilight princess was impossible to play with the keybored (which it isn't) mostly because she uses game controlers and such. iv goten half way through the game with no deaths because i ditched my game controler and went to keybored even if it takes a bit more skill to use a keybored (no offence intended) pardon my spelling please

Hello Haldrie,
I have some questiones for you...
1) Which are your PC specs?
2) Which plugins do you use for graphics and sound?
3) Where I can get version 0.9.2? I've got 0.9.6 but wanna try with 0.9.2.
Answer here or e-mail me please.
Thanks.
santibor77 2 years ago
1. Check my channel description for a link to my specs
2. iirc I was using the ZeroGS and Peops plugins (usually the defaults)
3. not sure where to get 0.9.2 anymore but even 0.9.6 is outdated now, from what I've heard the newer builds run much faster but I've yet to try them

How Can i Out the Iso In The PS2 Emulator?
TheLittleDee 2 years ago
I don't understand your question. If you are wondering out to rip an ISO from a real disc you don't have to since the emulator can run the disc directly from your PC's DVD drive.
Haldrie 2 years ago
you can get "magic iso" it works for me or power iso idk..
anyways you'll also need a virtual disk
you can use "Virtual cloner" it hasn't failed me yet
Dark1995Demo 2 years ago
MagicISO and PowerISO are terrible hacks of UltraISO. ImgBurn does everything almost anyone would need to do as far as ripping and burning CDs, DVDs and even Blu-Ray (provided you had a Blu-Ray burner that is) and it's 100% free. It's made by the same person that created DVD Decrypter.

How do i emulate full screen?
prepare2fire 2 years ago
The video plugin has a full screen option which you can set the resolution in the plugin and use alt+enter (if I remember correctly) to enable and disable full screen, however every time I used it the emulator always crashed on me and nearly crashed my computer along with it. In this video the emulator is still in windowed mode at a resolution of 1024x768 and I simply locked the S-Video output on that area of the screen. You can see a blue line on the top from the title bar.
Haldrie 2 years ago
what program do you record this?

please tell me
adsl14007 2 years ago
I captured this using my laptop's S-Video and Line-Out. I then fed it back to my laptop using a USB video capture device and the way I captured it uses almost no system resources since it only saves the stream from the device and doesn't preview it on the computer while it's recording.

Then please go to your local game store and buy a copy because I've already said a million times in comments, in the video descriptions and in an annotation that I had to add to the video because people won't quit asking me where to download it. Unless you have a really good PC emulation might not be the best thing for you. It's cheaper just to buy a used PS2 for about $40 and hack it to run Free McBoot and ESR then you can run all the imports you want without having to wonder if they will work or not.

So will a graphics card like the 9800gt work with the emulator?
arkraven123 2 years ago
Most likely but I haven't used this emulator in a long time. There have been a lot of updates that I have not kept up with which, from what I've seen in videos and various other things, is running a lot faster than what is shown in this video. I now mostly run my games on my real PS2 using ESR.
Haldrie 2 years ago
Err.... how do i emulate the Analog Stick?
TheChipmunker2000 2 years ago
There are some plugins on the PCSX2 web site that allow you to map the analog inputs to keyboard keys but you are much better off just buying a controller for your computer or if you have a PSX or PS2 controller you can buy a USB adaptor for a lot less then a controller would cost.
Haldrie 2 years ago
Ok Thank's I'll look for them
TheChipmunker2000 2 years ago
hey dude! this is awesome! im wondering if theres anyway to download Kingdom Hearts onto my computer and open it with the emulator?
or is that now how it works. any way cool stuff! 5/5
mizzizle 2 years ago
This emulator can actually run the actual disc straight from your DVD-ROM drive or from a disc image stored on your computer. If you are looking for a download of this or any other game then you have come to the wrong place as I have made it perfectly clear that I WILL NOT give download links to anyone even if I knew where you could get it. I own the original game and I encourage anyone that likes this game to go buy it as well if you don't already own it.
Haldrie 2 years ago
so i f i download the emulator full version and just put my game in (already have one) will it work automartically?
andrico1234 2 years ago
You will have to take some time setting it up and you will need a decent computer to be able to handle it. If you can already run it on a real PS2 though I would suggest sticking with that.
Haldrie 2 years ago
ok. as soon as i get past the start screen ic crashes wtf?
yipyip3366 2 years ago
That happened to me when I first tried out v0.9.4. I think it's a video card driver issue. I've just been using hacks on my real PS2 to play games now instead of bothering with emulation. It's a lot easier and I don't have to worry about my PC specs or a bunch of ridiculous configurations that come with plugin based emulators.
Haldrie 2 years ago
all i had to do was to get the updated version....
yipyip3366 2 years ago
It's not software exactly but a special A/V capture device that I'm using to record from the S-Video output on my laptop. I actually show this device and explain in a bit more detail how I manage to record without effecting my computer's performance in the first part of my Crysis videos.

This is going to make me look really stupid but do you use the keyboard and mouse for the controls or do you have to buy something else?
WaterIceWind1 2 years ago
There are plugins you can download to allow you to use a keyboard and mouse but because most of the games on the PS2 use the analog sticks I highly recommend getting a controller and using that instead. If you already have a PS2 (or a PSX or PS2 controller) you can get a cheap USB adaptor to connect it to your computer from Wal-Mart that will work with this emulator.
Haldrie 2 years ago
What about a ps3 controller?
WaterIceWind1 2 years ago
If you can get it to work on your computer then it should work in the emulator.

i have some questions since i need some guidance.
1) is it hard to instal the emulator?
2) where can i find the ISO/ROM file for this game and the sequel? (KH2)
3) can i play the game in the emulator with a wireless Xbox 360 Controller? (i have the wireless adapter)
Thanks alot! can someone please Answer me?! i'm dying to know the answers!
seph95 2 years ago
Haldrie 2 years ago
