  • Damn Rick!!! Ive seen straighter teeth in a sand sharks mouth

  • invaders of the heart is one of the greatest songs on this album

  • My dad bought me this record when I was 10 yrs old. This song still sounds fresh & brand new to me. (I noticed Rick's buccal pit amalgam on his lower molar at some point in the video! LOL.)

  • anyone else notice that ricks UNCLE DICK guitar has a bun e head on it? 0:22

  • Awesome song! Man, I miss the 80's

  • cheap trick has always been great. would love to hear all american rejects cover them just because their singer Tyson singing reminds me of Robin.

  • I love this song so much it hurts

  • WTF?! Love this video, it's mental!

  • @michaelasmith1966 Great song cheap trick great band.

  • Best Cheap Trick song.

  • Great track by The Tricksters.

  • Next Position Please was the only Todd Rundgren Produced Album for Cheap Trick. I've always liked them both. I go back to Old School Rundgren from The Nazz and Cheap Trick from The Old School 1970's!! Cool 1983 Song!! Cool Cheap Trick Video!! HOOAH!!

  • @kenc1161 The raucous rendition on Music For Hangovers is my fave, but I like the clean production here. It's more about good songwriting than anything else.

  • @GrizrazRex Music For Hangovers Excellent Choice, and production wise this was there slickest, Alway thought they were a Great Band and saw them in 79 with 30,000 screaming fans and 93 with less then 300 Always found their careers Ironic....

    Peace

  • he sure cant take it o.e

  • This is perhaps the most underrated of their hits. Great video, too.

  • @GrizrazRex Underated, in 1983 Next Position Please was a comercial flop and no singles released including this one even charted, I blame it on Rundgren taking away that Cheap Trick edge and producing this fluffy bubblegum garbage....

  • XD My dad and his friend went to a Cheap Trick concert. Funny thing is, my dad's friend was hammered drunk, and when Rick Neilsen went there direction, my dad's friend puked all over him! Rick just looks at them, horrified, and goes back from where he came from. LOL

  • still the smell of you is on my face...but you were too busy to notice me last nite...................romance in the 80s

  • the entire band was sooooo cool.

  • One of my Favorite songs by them!

  • ...too bad Robbie likes to steal songs...otherwise, I'd be on your guys' side. Let the shit talking begin.

  • @DoTheDramatik well, youve kicked it off...

  • @DoTheDramatik What you mean? Who did he steal songs from? :S

  • my band!!!

  • No way..This is my band! Besides Liberace and Elvis, this was my first concert (no shit, I'm not kidding!).

Dream Police tour. Since then, i have seen the a gazillion times!

  • OMG I can't believe i found this video finally! LOVE IT!!!

  • Had the esteem pleasure of meeting Cheap Trick years ago, Awesome! I still listen to their music as I have since the early seventies.

  • This is R.Nix,I always thought 'Next Position Please' was a great album and this track is Rock/Pop at it's finest.

  • YUMMY HEAD. o3o

  • Rick Nielsen's performance here reminds me a bit of Marty Feldman, I have to wonder if it was intentional or a coincidence.

  • @swagled The evil grin Rick has when sticking his voodoo needle is indeed priceless!!

  • Robin's face at 2:01 is priceless.

  • "Still the smell of you was on my face", lmao!

  • Endorsed by John Lennon when they first came out. 'nuff said.

  • Wow, this was just barely on the edge of my memory... maybe I saw this one time before on MTV.

  • AH yes, The Fox theater...........a long time ago....Thanks guys....you were a blast! You still rock my world.

  • always loved cheap trick.. going to see them play in a few days!!

  • i don't understand who would want to voodoo dollize robinn and stick needles in him or shoot him???? lol

  • @bassplyr822 Yup, it seems cruel for poor Robin in this trippy vid, but his jilted bride is quite a stunner in my book ;)

  • i wish more people in my age cared about this band. they're just great

  • @AntCakeforLife Amen! My (I'm assuming, our) generation listens to really bad music for the most part. Cheap Trick forever!

  • i try to tell myself... don't need you anymore...

don't want you hangin' around my dooooor.... wah noooo

    jesus i love this song

  • ricks the shit,,,nuff said

  • Ooosh, you talk about WEIRD! Lemme guess, Rick directed it.

Heh, my 14-year-old sister (majorly crushed out on Robin) would totally freak if she saw him in "pain" from the pins.

  • always liked this song, and I'm not the biggest CT fan. For some reason it didn't work very well as a single if memory serves...too bad that....

  • I like 1:10 to 2:00 great filmwork.

  • lol the ending is class

  • wow, 80s music videos were so confusing!! robin is sooo yummy!

  • This is probably their best video

  • This awesome Robin his wife and son live up the road fromme and are super nice people.

  • Blond hair and brown eyes? Can someone tell me I'm dreaming?

  • @RuthieCaterpillar idk contacts or hairdye im not sure which

  • I love Robin Zander, this is my fave music video of all time... has been since I was a little girl. Cheap Trick <3

  • one of the best front men ever these guys rock live

  • he's ALSO got a great voice .

  • Good tune, defintely forgotten, needs to be played more

  • peterson was an idiot to leave this band.

  • @coolatheart Yup, it took Tom 5 years too many to again see the error of his ways and return back to CT when "Next Position Please" came out in 1983...

  • from their most underrated lp.....hey todd rundgren produced it, he's another pop god lol

  • Yeah, I remember hearing this song even before I knew Todd Rundgren produced it and thinking "man, this sounds like something Rundgren would do." The guitar sound was different for Cheap Trick, definitely has Rundren's sound and fingerprint on it...

  • @KOSMICKEN09 This is a gorgeous song and the rest of the album was pretty cool as I remember.

  • How a pop song can sound so powerful ?

Cheap Trick knows how to do it !

Amazing song and Robin is a monster !

  • noboby has the carisma of Robin Zander lol. Cheap Trick rocks any song they do cause they are a Beatles prodigy in there own wright. Nudge nugde wink wink say no more. But I'm just a nut don't listen to me.They are from Marengo Illinois near Rockford I'll betcha. I'm a California man is a great tune from guys that grew up in the corn belt. I used to live in Crystal Lake that's how I know. They are one of the greatest rock bands ever!

  • Great song, great video. "Next Position Please" is a fantastic, although overlooked, album from CT. I am one of the few who likes Todd Rundgren's production here, although it just needs more crunch on the guitars! Live versions of this song are better in that regard.

  • One of my all time favorite Cheap trick songs... and written by Robin! Way Cool! Long live CHEAP TRICK!!!!!

  • Best video they ever did. This so outclasses video's of the time. Not filmed on video but actual film to give it that movie feel. Very Speilbergy

  • robin's scared face = life (:<3

  • Rick with the shotgun is priceless. Sometimes I still act like I burn my finger when I light up : )

  • Great song...my fav version is on the 'Music for Hangovers,' CD.

  • FIRST COMMENT !!! Yeeeehahhh!!! One my all time Cheap Trick Classics !!! I hope they remaster this cd someday
