Angels of Light? Embarrassing? What the fuck are you talking about? Swans was never a one-sound band, so of course some asshole's going to criticize something with a different name, regardless of how it sounds. Angels of Light does not sound like Swans, but if you catch my drift, Swans doesn't always sound like Swans. I met Michael Gira on October 4th, and he was one of the kindest character's I've ever met. He's just very honest. And honesty is what the world needs.

i hate devendras anoying nasal voice and lame lyrics why ime here then ? well Gira was the bomb with swans and on the first angel of light album but what have he done lately ? except for helping that wuzz out. as far as gira being an asshole ime not so sure he played some years ago solo in Århus Denmark i meet him outside before the show and he dident come of as any egocentric but more well manered and polite a gentleman i bought he´s solo album

Or not, here it come: Do anyone out there know if its possible to buy Various Failures (swaans compil.) or White Light From The Mouyh ....(swans) on cd? I have lost both while moving, poss. stolen. Hope this isnt too silly a question. I've had trouble getting them now in Oslo. Ok swanslisteners, bye from Torgeir, Oslo.

Gira comes across like such an asshole in this vid. I'm constantly distressed at how once great artists turn into weak, should-be-retired egomaniacs. 20 years after hearing 'Greed' I'm still obsessed with Swans (though they also deteriorated), but Gira's later output-- Angels of Light and so forth-- is frankly lame, and something of an embarrasment.
