I'm slightly confused by your metronome speeds. You start at what seems to be mm 90, which is this case is dotted crotchet (or dotted quarter note) = 90 beats per minute, as it's in 3/8 time. If my maths is correct, that would be crotchet (or quarter note) = 135, but you wouldn't play it to a crotchet beat normally. Where did you get 176 from?

hey, I'm about 6'5" and I can tell you (if your neck is long like mine) that you'll need a very tall shoulder rest. My advice is to actually go to a violin shop and have someone help you. Don't mail order it.
