I like how after lib tech makes the reverse camber....Burton then comes to the party AS IF they have the real insight...
This is the same scenario from 1987....Burton boards were stiff as hell, HEAVY, and had short swallowtails and could only go one direction...
Sims on the other hand had the basically the same design you are looking at right now... reverse camber, insame flex pattern, LIGHT WEIGHT, and pre twin tip based design..
ya if u havent ridden a reverse calabre / rocker,,,i HIGHLY suggest getting one,im 10 years old and i can do like almost vertical manuals, its AMAZING,it makes snowboarding soooo much fun, powder riding with it is a dream ,and butters and mannies r soo much easier
Hey! I appreciate the video because i am in the market for my first snowboard...I looked online and still am unsure about all of the lingo. Could you please suggest any kind of board for an intermediate to advanced rider who is 5'7'' and 132Ibs? Also are snowboarding boots like everyday shoes where one would usually go a size up or get a snug fit? Also could you please suggest some bindings and boots? Thanks! I really appreciate your time!
i have this board and it defo gave me more confidence its like cheating but i dont care i go 2 weeks a year max and i want to enjoy them two weeks. its an awesome board
burton sure is good at marketing boards. too mad it is just a snowboard. just like any other rockered snowboard. Capita and GNU (or Libtech) make a much better product.
@mratliff2111 Lib-tech patented magne traction, which is pretty desirable on reverse camber boards. They've got shorter contact lengths and are lifted at the nose and tail, so whatever remains of the effective edge needs to hold well. 'Frostbite' or whatever burton call it has 2 added areas of bite, while magne traction has 7. Lib-tech patented magne traction and pioneered reverse camber, so... bob's your uncle
my question is, is he really riding a joystick? does anyone know? the bottom graphics appear to be identical (from what little bit you see of the bottom of his board), yet this video was uploaded in 2008... i thought the joystick was introduced in the 2010 lineup. if anyone can help, please do. thanks guys.
p.s. i ordered a joystick 150 myself. you guys are stokin' me up bad! i cant wait to get it!!
i would have to say yeah its a joystick, pro team riders are notorious for getting gear a year early most likely in the developmental stages, pre-production
Free RIDE snowboard gear on the link on my youtube page! If you sign up for RIDE u get pionts and then u can get pionts for searching! Then u can get cool prizes like SNOWBOARDS and GEAR! If there are any questions feel free to ask! Thanks!
if im about 6 feet tall, 145 lbs and have a size 12 boot, what size board should i get if im going to be hitting the park, doing alot of big mountain riding and thenn jibbing at my house whenever it snows... would i be able to ride this board because i really like it but i feel like my boot size is stopping me. also if i shouldnt get this board what board should i get? and what size do you recomend?
Hey man im the same size as you i just picked up the Burton Hero v-rockered 158 cm wide board with the burton mission EST bindings it ran me about 440 all together with out tax and its an amazing set up super soft board lot of flex great for the park over all amazing good for any type of riding
I just got a 158 hero wide yesterday and slapped some mission est's on it and rode all day today. I've never had so much fun on a board in my life! It was buttery on the hill and in the park and I've never had such a great time riding pow. I was skeptical of the v rocker boards, but man was I wrong. I'm gunna be on a v rocker for a while.
@rationaltactics its takes practice mr.cocky, ohhhh i didnt realize snowboarding as so easy! practice then y dont you put a video up of you "doing these thing"

lol dude im 5'6 and i ride a 157 haha,, but im mainly powder riding all the time:) but i take her into the park often too and the long board isnt too bad

it depends on what you want to do and what size you boots are, shorter board would be better for spins and rails but longer boards would be good for either back country or just riding around, but i've about 5'11 6' tall and i ride the 157 joystick but if you want to do park stuff go for the 154 or maybe get the wide board if your boots are too big and your heel and toe edge are dragging but go to a shop and check em out

@torn66 reverse camber is for poser's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus it sucks at high speeds (80km) and reverse camber wears down faster then a Camber board!! haha we hated reverse camber boards 15 years ago and the little jib kids, and posers brought it back!! haha
what?? ok there so im a poser cause i ride a camber board?!? hahahha wow man your really dont have a fucking clue as to what your talking about!! haha people who cant get any better at snowboarding or find it to hard to land a trick use a reverse cambered board cause its there only hope to get better. i sell snowboards at a shop, and have been riden for 18 years! im pertty sure i know what im talking about and im not a poser!

gilles16 2 years ago

how does this board handle jumps??

V-rocker is rockered between the bindings and party rocker is rockered outside of the bindings and flat in between
