  • What kind of dog is this, my dog looks just like this.

  • They are called dingleberries!

  • Is it possible to do this with a dog who jerks around and lashes at you the entire time. Even the word bath causes my shih-poo to hide under my bed. Oh and she will not eat treats. She's a jerk.... She has been kicked out of grooming services due to her attitude. She's a sweet dog just don't let her see a brush, clippers, or nail clippers.

  • i love the fact that this dog sits completly still during the whole of this video, my dog wont even stand still long enough to cut his hair from his eyes. HELP!

  • that lady just gone mad , expertvillage sucks!

  • @LadyMation that's what I've always thought. All the inbreeding these days with what they call purebred dogs is getting ridiculous.

  • sounded like you nicked his asshole at the very end, BZZZT

  • HA HA HA....if only my dog would stand/sit still like that for a haircut!!! Not a bad video overall.

  • @artenman I'm just curious. I mean, did they just deal with having hair in their eyes before they became domesticated?

  • @MrBigBearBrown before they were domesticated 11000 years ago, they were wolves

  • @MrBigBearBrown They didn't have it before. It's a side affect of bad breeding and the many "breeds" humans created.

  • What a good dog!! Mine is impossible!

  • Would you please do video of how to clip a Yorkshire Terrier? Thanks so much! I am especially interested in how to do his face. He hates to be groomed but his hair falls over his eyes, I don't know how in the world he can see.

  • So what did dogs do to get hair outa their eyes before humans were around to do it for 'em?

  • @MrBigBearBrown You're an idiot.

  • Goddam. Fix the lighting. Can't see.

  • MY MOMMA IS MAKING ME SHAVE MY DOGS

  • ITS AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PEOPLE

  • really need to use a a lighter color dog can't see using a black dog.

  • Sounds good.. but looks not so much... can't see anything..!!

  • i seen it ok ,good video,thanks

  • Wow, a dog can go to a bathroom!

  • What's the sense in this video, if you can't see it from the words on the screen?.....How stupid!

  • "Yeah we dont talk about this much but we Carefully Shave the hair around the anis" Odd.. i prefer not to shave there ..

  • @12clairebear haha yeah... me either.

  • can't see because the dog is black. thats a bummer

  • Can't see a thing

  • Thank you for the video. I don't know why people feel the need to complain about a video someone took the time to post and you get it for free!

  • @therockingbitch For on top of the head i don't really think u shave it into a mohawk, you just grow it long and put in some mohawk jell.

  • A black dog, really?

  • Very informative. Wish video was longer

  • If I were a Dog, I would PRAY to be taken to YOU!, you sure do have a gentle considerate way! You should train and supervise the people in this business! Thanks for the post.

  • it looks like you were going to shave the poor puppys eye :(

  • really nice vid but it would be better if the dog wasn't black or the camera better

    i can't see anything

  • i can i shave my pet rock

  • SURE HAPPY I FOUND THIS!

IT was a 'little late haha - but next time I do this

I am sure it will go much better'

I have to admit after a few minutes it really becomes not so hard to do!

  • i agree, i shave my dogs when they get to furry, my gog grows hair too fast to take to the groomers

  • this was very helpful only thing is next time use lighter color dogs makes it easier 2 see

  • you should use a white dog. no offece about the dog!! im not trying to be mean ok, its just that we didn't see anything because the dog is black. But anyways, the dog is beatiful.

  • One other area we dont talk about too much :DDDD

  • i dnt mean to be racist but you another color for the dog haha

  • okay this was extra hard to see... don't get me wrong the info was great but use a lighter dog so we can see carefully how its done...

  • I agree totally, too dark and the vids are far too short

  • yes

  • way to use a black dog! I didn't want to see anything anyway!

  • I hate expert village, I am disappointed every time. As GDluver100 said using a black dog was daft and what was that "embarrassment" about shaving a dog's backside? I have to get ticks out of the skin around my dog's backside and it's no big deal - not particularly pleasant for her or for me, but it has to be done and certainly isn't "something I don't mention". Ridiculous.

  • I love these video's. I would like to know if you can use people clippers or do you need a special kind of clippers.

  • That must be the most obedient dog in the world!

  • ANY TIME YOU SHAVE A DOG & this is important YOU MUST GO WITH THE GRAIN!! so if the dogs hair is going down from the root you go down with the blade! & be cause with the arm pit area!! you can cut the dog & its not a pretty site you can nick the dog & it looks like a little cut but then it will open up into a huge hole . . i felt bad when i 1st did it to a dog i cried so much!

  • After reading these post I have to say that for adults most of you can be un-nessesarily bitchy can small minded. Isn't it possible to make comments about the things people have to share without being rude. As for you certificate holders, get off your high horse. After all we all love our pets.

  • wow this is realy helpfull! I just wish they did'nt use a black dog so I could see what they are doing easier! LOL

  • Why personally insult someone who has a different opinion or misunderstood you? You only reveal your own poor character.

  • I shave my dog but I personally feel I do not do a good job because I am not a pro... plus, I am learning... How is the best way to learn to shave a dog correctly and how to tell the numbering of the blades. I also want to know how to fully shave a shihzu .. excuse the spelling. :)

  • Yes, you can cut yourself with a 10, you can cut yourself with a butter knife but does that mean you should? My point is that like this groomer I have been grooming a long time and 10, 15, and higher bladesare completely safe in the right hands. I can use a 10 any direction on any body part and never make a nick, just have enough blades to make sure they don't get hot. There's no need to get sassy, any experienced groomer knows a fool by reading the exchanges here.

  • Don't act like you know what you are talking about if you haven't gone to school and had years of experience. A 10 blade is one of the very safest blades there is. Try one, run it on your skin. You would have to jab hard to cut yourself. This woman is doing a very good job. I have a grooming degree on my wall and have owned a salon for over 10 years.

  • a black dog and very little light on the subject ... hard to see what she was doing.

  • Geez I'm not a professional dog groomer but even I know that it's best to scissor the dog's face. The buzzers are only for the body, really.

  • you guys are idiots ... im work in a dog groomer and every one uses these blades for there faces ... its quick and easy .. an you can rub the blades all over your hands and theres no way you can cut your self ... geez .. thats how its done !

  • how can you be a dog groomer if you are like...13. ive seen your profile and you are a dancing loser girl lol its stupid how people think they know something , they become professionals.

  • this lady is insane... not a good teacher. please let the professionals groom your dog.. why in the world would you go towards the eye with the blade??

  • i TOTALLY AGREE!! Why on earth would you get that close to any dogs eye with a blade, hello... i would use thinning shears or just a short sizz, just incase!! Crazy...

  • your just not experienced enough, this lady has years under her belt, my boss uses blades by the eyes and shes been grooming for years,if you dont use blades by the eyes then how to you do a clean poodle face? you must not know how to groom.

  • we all have to stat somewhere and there are some very good videos here on youtube. I began grooming my miniture poodle 3 months ago and have has compliments on how professionally goomed he looks. So I am not pretending to be a groomer i am a groomer, so get off your pedistal because having a certificate dosent nessesarily make you a good groomer or a good person for that matter.

  • This is a poodle? RAWR

  • Who said this was a poodle? I would guess that this is a portuguese water dog..but again, that's just a guess.

  • I just watched the other movie with the same dog (ear cleaning)-the groomer does state that it is indeed a portuguese water dog.

  • your just not experienced enough, this lady has years under her belt, my boss uses blades by the eyes and shes been grooming for years,if you dont use blades by the eyes then how to you do a clean poodle face? you must not know how to groom.

  • im a competition SHOW dog groomer, bichons get 10's on their eyes, poodles, and many breeds. i feel bad for your customers, they all must get shave downs and baths only. because you dont know style breed cut.

  • There are alot of hot spots that need careful attention. A cut can be serious. When the leg was lifted that is a area of one of the hot spots. Please get ur groomer are a groomer to show you the in and outs of grooming

  • First of all you should go to a professional dog groomer if you have not done this before, at least go for a days training, as there are some nasty injuries you can do with a clippers and no experience.

  • "careful not to poke the eye with the blade"

    Thanks captain obvious!

  • I would start at the back of the dog first. The dog gets used to the feeling of the clipper. If you start at the face, the dog could get scared and move cause the clipper to catch the eye. If you are worried the dog will move around too much and be scared - turn the clipper over and let the dog feel the vibrations of the handle of the clipper on his/her face(or where ever you are working). This gets the dog used to the feeling and lets you see the initial reaction that the dog has.

  • I agree with you CandeeNL. You should always start at the back legs when first shaving a nervous dog or puppy. It gets them used to the sound and feeling of the clipper so they won't be frightened.

  • um, no pretty sure he means that black dogs are harder to see what the groomer is doing on.

  • And you have to pick a black color dog, great.

  • please dont be so racist..lol

  • Hehe, I'm not racist, just thought it'd be more visible if the dog is in lighter color :)

  • lol, you did not just say that...

  • wat if the dog move?????????????
