Apart from that, when a total stranger (I don't care how "OMG he's soooo hot") who in your opinion is a barely human savage is trying to have sex with you - I think most women would find it difficult to come up with a stage worthy song performance at a moment like that.

Okay... I have several questions about Naomi and Prairie Fire.

1. Why would he marry her immediately after her capture? We're to assume that these Indians (Cheyenne?) were monogamous, so he only had one shot at another wife. Was he not scared she'd run away or something?

2. They didn't consumate the marriage that first night, did they?

3. Why would he ever consider trading his wife? (Unless she wouldn't consummate the marriage until that "failed trade" night.)

1) I am not shure about the Cheyenne, but the Lakota lived in polygamy. Life was so risky a lot of men died hunting or fighting. So it was common and natural men had more than one wife. When young Crazy Horse's mother died his father married two sisters of Spotted Tail. Comanche Chief Quanah Parker had 7 wifes.

When her son was a toddler the tribe moved camp, and in doing so they were spotted by soldiers and a little skirmish took place in which Prairie Fire died and Naomi was "rescued". She was tied to a tree and the soldier who killed her husband attempted to have sex with her, she pretended to comply but killed him to avenge the death of her husband.
