@Engineer5344 Yeah. BTW, those 15 gauge Hudsons especially make great replacements for the old NYC Hudsons. Like the J1-B Hudson 5212 that runs in Sonoma Train Town. I make this series called "Steam Documentary." In the first episode, I did a documentary on the Hudson 5212. You must check it out. And when you see her in the video, you'll think she's a beauty. Just so you know, that video has 3 parts.
@Dinosorable oh yea i know of 5212, my dad has an old issue of live steam magazine dating back to the mid to early 80's with a whole 5 page article on the building of 5212. it was that article that inspired him to have ours built. and 5212 is a splendid engine. im glad to see they finally have many years decided to put on prototype six wheel tender trucks like the real hudson's had. oddly enough she was originally built with 4 tender trucks which the first hudson 5200
Is this an actual steam engine or was the smoke and steam just show? If it is real, it must be tough on the engineer to have steam and smoke blowing up in his face.
amazing, our engine was completed in 97. and now it's gonna be 10 years old this year. but yet when ever she is under steam. she sounds like brand new.
i still wish i had norm kolments whistle, on the hudson. one reason only, one you did not have to pull the cord out so far to get that nice deep 4 chime sound. oh well.
Where in NJ is this? I'd like to visit. Web site? That loco is a hard worker, and functioning signals on a scale rr are a touch of class. I'd love to help fill your five car train.
yea she is. on level track. my dad who owns it. he claimed he once pulled 30 people. of course we had those bench looking riding cars. but if he says he did than im goin with it. some day i want to have a 5 car passenger train fully loaded. so i can see what she can do
man am i getting the itch to fire her up now. right as im blastin up the grade, here at the end of the clip. you could swear she sounds like a full size locomotive at speed. course i had a big load of passengers. but still it's amazing how she sounds so close to a full size locomotive. truly amazing
thanks mike, this makes me feel better, my withdrawal symptoms are now over. hopefully we can make some more videos like this one, during the summer maybe. thanks again
Those miniature J1 Hudsons make great replacements for the old NYC J1 Hudsons. Bringing back the good old times.

Where in NJ is this located? I'd like to visit. The steamer is impressive, and so are the functioning signals.
