Teachers are supposed to be role models, and like it or not, they are in a position of power/authority and with that comes responsibility. Teachers need to stop trying to be cool and befriend their students and actually do their job: teach!
I can understand you being pissed, being a parent. However, you take it to the extreme, saying that somehow someone's kids will come home pregnant as a result of this behavior. Those kids where damn close to adulthood, and I saw kids that age do the same sort of stuff at school dances all the time when I was that age. Lewd? Sure. Inappropriate? Perhaps. Harmful? I doubt it.
The suspension without pay seemed like a good start. If it was the first time they've screwed up, have them complete some seminars or training programs, and add a public apology. If they've gotten in trouble in the past, then harsher punishment should be lined up. Everybody screws up now and then, so I'm willing to gvie them a little bit of slack so long as they learned from this and don't repeat it.

Inappropriate? Hell yes! Reason for a reprimand? Abdolutely! Ground to be fired? No way! Even with the example above, students do not learn about sex from teachers; they learn about it from their friends, from the streets, from television, from the internet, or whatever. If you want your child to be insulated from knowledge about sex, you'd be better off turning off the television than firing two teachers that did something dumb and have undoubtedly learned their lesson.
