One day, I woke up at my friend's house and went to his living room, whereupon I discovered his brother listening to some absolutely heavenly music on his computer. It was simple, but not lacking substance, mellow, but not boring and sterile, and unique, without being unlistenable. Mesmerized by the sonic massage my brain was receiving, I asked what he was listening to. He replied, "The Avett Brothers."
This is Seth right? I've never been anywhere near them live, but I've never seen Scott on Banjo, Seth's closer to being 'always' on banjo, but I think he spends time without a banjo at all :D
So intensely jealous right now, I'm in the wrong (goddamn) hemisphere.
Not sure I should ask God to damn an entire hemisphere just because my favourite band doesn't go there often.
Maybe if they play in south America I'll renew my passport.
Buuuut yeah, up until a couple of weeks ago, I thought Scott was Seth and Seth was Scott, and I liked it that way, but when I finally realised who was who it turned my world upside down and refreshed the band a little for me.
By the way, yeah you were and are right, I was confused thinking Seth was Scott and Scott was Seth, didn't help that they're brothers but I thought this was who I thought Seth was who is actually Scott.
Turned my world upside down when I realised who was who, and I was reading Scott's wikipedia page and saw he had an older sister named Bonnie and a younger brother named Seth and I was like "WOAH, TOTALLY HEARD OF HIM ALREADY"
everytime i hear this song it reminds me of a very dear friend . . .i know you didnt know him but its as if it was written for him . . .i couldnt think of a better way to remember him then through one of your songs

My friend told me about this song. he knows my history with cars. I have totalled 5 and in 4 of them didn't get a scratch or a headache. The last one I broke my back after barrel rolling a Jaguar. I think I topped out at 150.
Rich kid? Not entirely accurate. My parents are wealthy but I had my first job at the age of 14 and have worked ever since.
I bought every car I've ever owned save one (including the Jaguar)
No respect? Also, not entirely accurate. I don't see where driving fast and being a bit reckless equates with lack of respect, but I'm sure you obey all traffic laws and even signal before changing lanes.
I'm sorry you have issues. I blame your mother. She should have hugged you more often.
I think he was trying to say, you respact your family by keeping yourself safe because the last thing your mom or father would like to have a call in the middle of the night to find that you were found dead bein a dumbass drivind like a maniac
I suppose you could be right, but the petulant venom in XSeekUpx comment set me off. Do I drive that fast anymore? No. Three weeks of hospital food and 6 months in a back brace can cure you of some of youthful exuberance.
Some have said I constantly challenged God to see if they were paying attention. Other say I'm an adrenaline junkie. I mean come on that thing had a V8! Who could resist that?
Anyway, I love this song because I've done this. Metal does surrender and so does flesh. Fun times.
The song originally appeared on a 2 song CD that they gave away to the first people that bought a copy of A Carolina Jubilee. I believe they only printed about 50 copies. Tale of Coming News was the other song on the disk. The cover shows a wrecked car.
someone need to tell the dang ol split tails in the audience to stop screaming at him, he isnt gonna sleep with ya no matter how loud you yell at him

This is Seth Right? If so, the only time I've seen Scott with a banjo is before this song, which is my favourite ever at the moment.
I guess he connects with everyone seriously affected by a car accident, especially when it doesn't make sense that they survived.

Scott always plays a banjo, what are you talking about? :)
