But i don't get it, how can you go that fast. Also before you go through the blue tunnel, how do you get that fast driving straight forward without any need to slide with a full meter.

It would be awesome if i could nail that trick down since i only need to beat Oxide on 4 tracks :D

@wh1ttle1 because you only need 1 turbo pad accompanied with good boosting to reach high speeds. After that; turbo pads are moot.

You need to have been boosting well beforehand. When you boost try to get the red bar full each time

@MrNesajem That turbo pad is naturally a super turbo pad. Boost a little before hitting it, don't boost after you've hit it.. and sit and enjoy the ride.

@Koroar When bouncing, the kart doesn't slow down as fast. Normally you shouldn't bounce (when at top boosting speed), but natural super turbos, double jump techniques and sewer speedway glitches can make you go faster.. so you try to make the most of it with bouncing.

@MegaSuperAce I also wrote a well known ctr guide, original developer of some techniques & strats, former world champ etc... I have a sort of brand image I guess.

There are better, more modern videos out there... who have to sell purely on the quality of the race and presentation.

This particular race is not mine however. Stelzig is mostly an SSMB player.

Tags is one way. Linking it when appropriate helps too. And as thomas said he also just has a brand image. I have uploaded this video myself in a slightly higher quality and it also has less views.. At this point they both seem to grow about equally fast in views though.

And yeah time helps alot as well of course, this video was uploaded in 2007 so it hasn't got that many views overnight and now that it does have so many it will be a popular one to view when searching.

Notice the red bar in the lowerrigt corner? The higher it is when you use the boost, the more boost you get. When boost overlaps in this game, the game SAVES that boost so you will keep boosting for longer even without drifting.

Eller siden jeg kan se på din bruger at du er dansker dansk version: Du skal bruge din turbo sent (helt rød) for at få mere turbo. En fuldt ladet turbo (specielt den tredje) varer længere end det tager at lave en ny og når det sker "gemmes" turboen i stedet for at blive slettet - derfor kan jeg kører med det i lang tid. Desuden er den boostpad jeg ikke booster efter en speciel en som giver højere topfart - så jeg bruger al min opsparede boost der.

Nope i do not. The third turbo pad and the last turbo pad on this level are both super turbo pads by defeault. There is no such thing as a permanent turbo cheat either anyway (unless you are thinking of some gameshark hack).

What i do do is charge my miniturbos putting the gauge up on full red which gives longer boosts than the time to charge up the next giving you reserves when they overlap. I will gladly link you to an in-depth guide if you want it.

Doing miniturbo's fast enough gives reserves in boost and therefore it gives more time. The reason that i drive so much faster from some of them is because a few turbo pads in the game are super turbo pads by defeault. These only exist in the last world's levels of the game, this being one of them.

Something that makes you able to hook up stuff to your PC trough scartcables, and also record (I can also use it to watch TV on my PC). I could play the game directly on the computer, but it lags a little so usually i record the game on my VCR and then hooks the VCR up to the PC and records with the capture card.

We're not sure if its a glitch or the programmers meant to put it in. There wasn't a given name for it, the french discoverer (Arsene or Kang) just named it so.

UFS or USF = Ultimate Feu Saffi or Ultimate Sacred Fire translated literally.

I no longer have access to my PAL disk, so if i wanted to play ctr i would have to use my flatmates NTSC version and chipped ps2, (Im at university). In NTSC Penta is terrible so i could only really be a challenge on those tracks with use N.tropy/Tiny/Dingo/Papu from now on.
