Wow! Thanks y'all. I agree with sideman, except for the superficial part. Imagine if someone presented you with something you've never used before- perhaps to drive a Ferrari or a Semi-truck 18 wheeler. Or use an unfamiliar power tool like a chainsaw or router. Then someone points a camera at you and says "go".
Imagine this happening to you after 24 hours of travel, a hotel that wasn't ready (ie no sleep or change of clothes), and walking into the biggest fluro-lit hall you've ever seen just to check out gear bright and early? What I'm saying here is that I do believe I'm an experienced player, but definitely not a practiced one.
It actually feels in-genuine to practice licks in my room until they're perfect and then regurgetate them to people. It shows "Look how hard I practice by myself". My way of playing, although sloppy, ends up having more feel and honesty, and shows a slice of time in my life. Oh, and I can always practice.
this guy's technique is very tiring. everything he does sounds incomlete, sloopy, superficial. not flowing and smooth. i liked the bass a lot. and hate the guy.
@MrMinhoca42 no dude, i'm not. just watch 'MarlowDK' and 'DanAntunovich' on youtube. you'll understand what i mean. i really mean it; this guy is tiring...
@sidemannn This guy is a better player than MarloweDK in my opinion, by a fairly good margin. I don't understand why everyone is so on about Marlowe, he is good, but you can go into a bass store in NYC at any time and there is a Marlowe or better there usually. This guy has done some really cool stuff, have you seen his Michael Jackson Human Nature version?

Uriah is so versatile! Yes, he has chops galore, but more importantly, he does what a bass player is supposed to do-groove like crazy!

This dude is the modern incarnation of the cool 70's black guy that hung around pool halls, enticing women with his afro, and deep ass voice.
