totally off topic but thank you Jimmy for making so many people love the guitar and setting the bar to inspire so many of us. RIP you gypsy soul traveler.
I have Amplitube 2, Amplitube imi Hendrix and Amplitube Metal, but when I open Amplitube X-Gear it doesn't see the patches and pedals from Amplitube Metal but only the ones from Amplitube 2 & Hendrix. How can I do to also include Amplitube Metal into Amplitube X-Gear?
@varettah It should work, but you'd be better off moving to AmpliTube 3 which already has the Metal models and they are better-sounding in V3. It will pull in the others like X-Gear does, and X-Gear should see your Metal install. For your current issues, you must contact support as we are unable to do proper technical support via YouTube. Thanks!
Do you need any other Amplitube to use Amplitube Jimi Hendrix/Amplitube Metal? Are pedals accessible with Amplitube, and is Amplitube on a CDrom? My computer's disc reader doesn't work, and I am not getting it replaced soon, Thanks.
@Chyaman09 No they work standalone. You can download the latest versions from your User Area on our site, though, and you really should so you have the best with all fixes.
@sajidwaikhom Yes, it can be used in your DAW where VST, AU, or RTAS are supported. You might be better looking at AmpliTube 3 which is the newest product and has the Hendrix and Metal models included (plus much more!)
@GrPaoOle That is something to discuss with tech support. You can reach them from our web site. There is just too much that needs to be gathered for proper technical issues to be resolved in YouTube comments. Our support staff is there to help.
I would just like to ask you how good of a real guitar do you need to get this kind of sound? I assume you plugin a real guitar and play and the program works as an simulated amp right? So how good of a real guitar do you need? Can you do it with a low budget guitar?
@GameCardTeamSilvR You can get good sound from even a budget guitar. There are many budget guitars out there that are really good for the money (the Fender budget lines are great, and others). Much of the sound comes from the fingers and the brain of the player - I saw Joe Satriani play a budget guitar and he still sounded amazing.
So the quality of the guitar does play a importance for the VST simulator, in that case what pickups are needed for that Hendrix sound. The thing is I have a Fender Strat 1980 (high quality guitar) and a Gibson Les Paul (also a high quality version) could they simulate the same sound? I know that Hendrix used a Strat but could I simulate that sound with a Gibson? And lets say "Slash GN'R" sound with the Fender?
Cheers mate. Thanks for answering my lame questions.
@GrPaoOle You have to install an ASIO driver and configure the audio settings in Amplitube. ( I use the behringer link and its own ASIO driver, instead Asio4all)
@alsharpton666 We have StealthPedal that is also a quality audio interface that has an expression pedal as the housing - also, it supports connecting an expression pedal (or two... or one plus the double-stomp for preset up/down, etc)
It is an older video, the AmpliTube 3 videos are improved (and include all Metal and Hendrix gear) so take a look at those and expect more and better. AmpliTube 3 is the current product so those videos will be the higher quality and will improve as well.
@Ericclapton325 very well, in most cases. At the CES convention, we even saw Jimi Taylor (Hendrix impersonator) use a Jimi Hendrix wah into AmpliTube iRig with great results!
@TAMUCLASS16 yes, just be careful with the gain staging (since pedals will be either buffered or true bypass and will affect the strength of the signal just like they would in a full hardware chain)
@MrSzipu Yes, that's what it means. If you ordered from a dealer and you have not received your package, please contact them. If you ordered from us and did not get your notification of digital delivery with your serial please use the Contact page on our site to let us know.
Definitely looking to buy the overall Amplitube 3. Just wondering though, would a better sound card make it sound better? Sorry new to these programs.
@Rushisftw A proper audio interface with Hi-Z/Instrument input is recommended. Getting the best signal IN to the computer is the best way to start. We make three that are great for guitar signals: StealthPlug, StealthPedal, and StompIO.
@peppersa1 You do realize that this is the OFFICIAL channel of the developer of the software. The one that has employees that feed their families by selling the results of their hard work, right? So yes, we can give you one - go to our site and buy it.
@koshiaru though it is actually true, not a burn. We're a serious company that has people doing something they are passionate about in order to make their living so I was just giving a frame of reference so they knew who they were stealing from.
@ikmultimedia They shouldn't be stealing in the first place. your software's are reasonable enough for the level of quality you guys put in. You guys have the RIGHT to just burn him, if you wanted to.
@NANONANONIN - any standard audio interface that has instrument/Hi-Z input will do. We make StealthPlug, StealthPedal, and StompIO specifically for getting the best guitar signal into your computer. Check our site for details.
@chewiebrothaman AmpliTube 3 has a built-in 4-track recorder and includes all the models from Jimi Hendrix and Metal. Check it out on our site (and we have videos for it here too).
@Trikissss you can use a MIDI controller - we have two interfaces that also have control capabilities (StealthPedal and StompIO) and the upcoming controller StealthBoard that will integrate with AmpliTube and also control your whole MIDI rig.
Hello, I play guitar on my PC with Amplitube. I' am fun of Jimi and I' m satisfied with this software. Which audio interface you recommended for sound outputs from PC (amplitube)?
This components is very important, do you have any experiences about sound card (audio interface)?
@telefoto123 we make three interfaces that integrate incredibly and also sound phenomenal: StompIO, StealthPedal, and StealthPlug. Please check out our website for more information. I also recommend you look at AmpliTube 3, the newest product that does include all the amps and gear from these products in the video.
Hey could you record guitar parts through Amplitube 3? also is it possible that you could get a bass sound on this and record and make a little backing track?
@Ibik Yes, AmpliTube 3 comes with an astounding amount of amps, cabs, stomp and rack effects, cabinets, microphones - really amazing how much comes with it. Not just the new gear but remastered versions of the AmpliTube Metal, Jimi Hendrix, and AmpliTube 2 gear! Amazing value.
@Harrysound the pickup type will affect the sound for sure, and make sure you are getting as good a clean direct sound from your interface with proper gain staging and a quality Hi-Z input too. That usually helps quite a bit too.
@stretch90 if you are having problems with the Preset XChange, please contact support (you can do so from our web site) and they will get you sorted out. Thanks!

You can record guitar, with the effects, all real time. With a decent audio interface it is just like playing through a regular amp. The real time reaction and musicality is very important and we allow for that.
Im thinking of buying the Metal pack with the Stealth Pedal but if I do will I still need to buy the Stealth Plug? Also, if theres anything else I would need to start playing such as a extra cord or something it would be nice to know ahead of time. Thanks in advance
If you get the StealthPedal you will get a USB cord but will need a guitar cable (as you would if you bought an amp :-) ) and you can also plug in headphones if you'd like. there's regular balanced/unbalanced outs too and you can get cable to run them out to however you'd like to output the sound if you don't use the headphone jack.
:-) Good to hear. We've had some really great pedals modeled and make sure you check out our Facebook for pictures and sound clips of what's coming. Once NAMM hits (not too long to go now!!!) things will be WILD.

Yes, you get great control and you can add a double stomp switch and another expression pedal. Save the control settings with presets and everything! Awesome stuff.
The AmpliTube line is carried by many audio retailers big and small, online and traditional brick-and-mortar. You can also order directly from our site. Thanks!
dude amplitube metal is awesome and everything, but theres a problem im facing which is about the sound sustain it doesnt seem to sound long enough, you know suddenly the sound cut off sometimes, could it be because of my interface??
Try looking at the noise gate settings (either the built in or any other gate/compressor/dynamic plugin you have in the chain). If you still have a problem, contact our support through your User Area on our site. Thanks!
You can use it as a plugin in your audio host - please check the manual for specific details and if you have problems you can contact support by logging into your User Area on our site. Thanks!
