It's not only about "Not getting the Actors hurt"

It's just a simple fact that most Actors are not trained for extreme physical stunts, and don't take martial arts. Or have the knowledge of how to fall without injury.

Same thing in reverse. A lot of Stunties are not trained actors. They are in an entirely different career.

You never see how much goes into creating a movie. So I gotta applaud how seamless things appear on screen, and how everything comes together.

Robert Pattinson is an actor-he isn't really a vampire. Remember? So of course he wouldn't be allowed to do his own stunts. Most actors aren't. And he didn't ask to win the award for the stunts. What he DID do, was say in his acceptance speech that his stunt man did all the work. So he isn't a phony narcissist. This actor is as humble as they get. He never compliments himself in any way.
