Lol. I'm guessing your playing on a crappy xbox360 controller. For shitty 360 controllers, I find it easier to use the d-pad. For PS3 I use d-pad. Remember, this game is supposed to be played on an arcade stick.

Vega and Guile's ultras are actually quite easy with the 360 controller's stick, assuming you know the trick. the trick being that their ultra inputs can be put in differently than the command list says. it can actually be done by inputing; db(2),df,db,ub. So it turns into just a diagonal half circle, rather than that stupid uf shit they tell you to do.

No, what is says you are supposed to do is, db(2),df,db,uf. its is much easier to do db(2),df,db,ub. Its easier to pull of since it keeps the stick rotating. The only difference is that depending on whether you press ub or uf as the last input, vega will jump to the corresponding wall. Guile's doesnt change at all.

uhhh this isn't much of a trick. It's been known since ST that you can use either UF or UB for the ultra. Just like the regular FBA. The direction is just for which wall you want to go in. I can't check right now, but I'm quite sure the moves list says UB, since doing UF will almost always go over your opponent's head.

Thats also wrong.. ive used vega for a long time and yes the moves list says UF, but you dont control which wall you want to jump to by doin UF or UB, to go to the opposite wall you just hold UF so that the forward command stays as an input. If you dont believe me go to training and turn inputs on and youll see..

If vega drops his mask, he loses HP (hp is done in perecents, so it just means that hits after that, you'll notice, take more of his bar down), if he drops his claw, his damage and range go down. Which means you want to have both at all times.

SO for future reference:

Boxer = Balrog / M.Bison

Dictator = M.Bison / Vega

and the names make sense. Balrog is a serpent like creature, so it definitely fits a character like vega.

It may seem simple in comparison to other 2D fighters but the Street Fighter battle design is still great.

The 6 button variance in attack, counters, reversals, combo's and evasive manouveres, when mastered still make for a highly competitive game.

Nothing provides that crunch like Street Fighter. I've championed the majority of 2D fighters like Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, MK, Tekken, Virtual F, World Heroes, Killer Instinct, King of F, DoA,etc, and in retrospect SF is still king !
