I think it said in the video the average amount of lessons taken for those who pass the test is 45 professional lessons, surely that isn't accurate?

Those who pass their driving test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice. Learners who prepare this way, with a combination of plenty of professional training and plenty of practice, do better in the test.

Has the practical test age been changed to 18?

No, thage hasn't changed to 18.

You can take your theory test once your provisional licence becomes valid. Normally, for car drivers, the earliest date your provisional licence can become valid is your 17th birthday.

Once you've passed the theory test, you can apply to take the practical driving test.

Workers at Royal Mail have agreed to two one-day national strikes on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 October 2009.

Test confirmation letters could be delayed because of the strike.

You can confirm your test details, and get your booking reference number, when you log on to Directgov.

If you dont have your letter by the day of your test, you will need to print the online confirmation, or write down your booking number and take it with you to the test centre.
