@gus4725 Tais motos são totalmente diferentes...Super Teneré foi feita para enduro,R1 para pistas..motores totaalmente diferentes,mas o "bizorro" aí acima,dura 3 vezes mais que uma R1....a R1 desmancha cedo perto dela...

Nice bike, but after a dr 650, two klr 650's and a tenere 660xt, it's just too heavy!

Last year I rode the full length of Australia's great divide on the klr and dropped it several timesand that was heavy enough. It would have been impossible on a bike like the 1200...but I know what your saying ,its horses for courses and would be the ideal outback beast!...still I want the zebra paint job!!

I had the original 1984 Tenere. This is too heavy, has too much plastic and as for the price tag!!!

A few nice paint schemes (based on the old ones) won't sell them.

There are going to be loads of these gathering dust in yamaha dealerships - With dwindling price tags.

it's a great bike on performance I guess, but a bit ugly on the front department. compare w/ BMW 1200 gs. the front wheel, the absence of a upper mud guard, there's someting wrong there.

We all were shocked and disapointed, after viewing this screwed-up and stretched massiv real XT1200Z Super Tenere.

It looks rather like a stetched Burgman scooter or the same heavy Plastic-Ship Varadero, then a grownup Travel-Enduro.

How feels a heavy hippo in the Tenere or a Burgman-Owner with suit and tie in same area?

So the BMW guys can lean back and rolling on the floor, dont awoke the japanese-sleeping

You should be ashamed of yourself for this. Before you begin talking about the look of it, maybe you should rather think of its capabilities?

This new piece of machinery have been equipped with state of the art technology which blows the head of the BMW concept.

This new machine is now equipped with Adjustable Traction Control, Anti Blockage System, Adjustable seat and is a wonderful touring machine. Which in my case would rather take this one out for a tour than the FJR1300 or a stinky BMW

This can't be the real thing -- the ST 2010 has a front-to-back, not sideways engine. Therefore it cannot have a left-to-right oriented crankcase.

Furthermore, a sideways crankcase is only used on chain drives and the ST will have a shaft drive.

Well, as far as sales go, BMW sells the crap out of R1200GS bikes over here as does KTM and the 990 Adventure... There are more dirt bikes purchased and places to ride here in the U.S. then anywhere else. They, (Cycle Manufacturerers) need to market the Dual Sports more effectively; If they aren't selling, they need to start better advertising via Cycle magazines and such...

I think it is only the question of homologation cost. It is sure that they will bring it to Europe, the polution control is much more strict over here. Yamaha is in bad financial situation so they have to increase sales - only problem that the dual pupose / big enduro is not so popular in US.

This Super Tenere rocks! I'd like to see it in action somewhere in Africa, even better, drive one by myself. Think it would make a pretty good competition to the BMWs in the sandy part of the world, if it is technically as outstanding as it looks. Owners could be proud of it with a good reason: It has this certain 'rough good old times but also todays hi-tech' spirit. It's a beauty and the inpiring music does the rest. Congratulation!
