I think it's SO CREEPY if you look above where you came in after getting the staff rod, in the glass tower, you can see the Mad Hatter just standing there watching you. Then he suddenly disappears and reappears right behind you. AHHH!

Part of this music during this part of the game is on way to high of a scale and sounds to cheery( Cheery for Alice music at least) for having someone scream, their head coming off, then falling on their face. Even if it is The Mad Hatter. The music is AWESOME though. All Alice music is awesome. This music sounds like a bell ringing. A bell of death.

I'm not sure, but I think it's the alchemical symbol for mercury. This is probably a reference to back in Victorian times when people who made hats ended up inhaling mercury fumes (from curing the felt to make hats). Many hatters would become mentally ill.
