Oh wow, this piece is a BEAST and that choir owned it! Especially some of the soprano parts. We had a TTBB arrangement (i'm Tenor 1) so I sang what the sopranos are singing, and it is NOT easy! Awesome performance!
Keinesfalls schneller, wie in vielen anderen Versionen hier auf der Seite. Erst dadurch kommt diese Musik zum tragen und bringt die ganze Fülle der Klänge ins Ohr. Natürlich sind Tempowechsel erlaubt, aber es sollte nicht zu einem Scatgesang ausarten!!!!
Beautiful, fantastic version. this is very difficult to sing, especiallly without a score. I loved to hear all the voices, but the bass voice had a lot of presence and that gave more armonical support. Congratulations!!!

Wer dieses Stück kennt und weiß, wie es gesetzt ist, kann schon sagen, dass es eine hervorragende Leistung ist, dies auswendig zu singen, auch wenn es irgendwann aufgrund der Vetrautheit in Fleisch und Blut übergeht.
A beautiful rendition! I even love the way the photographer did the video, zooming in on their faces and panning across the choir. I find myself coming back to this over and over. It gives me goosebumps.
O.o 13-14 year olds? This is an All-State choir piece in my state this year.

We're singing this in choir. We're comprised entirely of 12-14-year-olds. My director is officially a lunatic. D: It's HARD.
But these people were awesome.

i would say the notes were mostly tuned, the musicality was lacking, the piece doesn't call for all legato, it's supposed to be more uplifting.

The tempo is more leisurely than I am used to singing this, but still a good performance, with excellent diction of the Latin

my personal opinion is that this piece should be performed at a more up-tempo speed, it gives it more life to the piece and makes it more exciting
