For those who are new to this kind of music, I would recommend Stars of the Lid, The Dead Texan, Brian Mcbride, A Winged Victory for The Sullen, Aix em Klemm, (all asociated with eachother) Celer, Brian Eno's ambient work, Eluviam, Eather Net, The Cocteau Twins, You may like Burial as well. Tim Heckor as well, although if you don't like abrasive ambient he could be hit or miss with you.

Every week or so I surf through youtube to check out Hammock tracks that I may not have heard. I'm always impressed at the comments, because for the most part it is people actually appreciating and praising what they are hearing. Part of the reason i love Hammock is because of the overall positive response given by anyone who hears their music. Music is a gift, Hammock is the perfect example of this.
