  • Pre Grunge, psychedelic 80'.Another Time Machine Please!!!

  • its a tiki-tryptaline-snakecharming-shaman danceparty sleepover!

  • dig the diaper dancers -- they're all the way hype.

  • fucking Jane's Addictions is

great. I was lucky enough for

a friend of my brother to introduce

me to them at a young age.

  • at2:41 / 4:43 you can see the girls tits

  • cash in now

  • WHAT A FUC*KING SONG !!!!!

  • at 1:05 is that dave and perry making out?

  • yes.

  • OMG...what a song!!

    soooo gifted!!

    So many memories.

  • 20 years man... 20 years!

This keeps me wondering what kind of crap Kurt Cobain, Hendrix and all others would be doing if they were alive.

    Music stopped in 1991.

  • 93 man gotta alow siamiese dreem

  • and 94 with dookie....i get whatcha meen though i would kill to grow up then but no i was born in 92

  • lol same (i sound well stupid pointin dat out considerin my name).

and i was gutted i missed the age of great music too, back in the days wen frontman cud be completely insane and still get a women every night for 5 years...

  • trust me, it wasn't easy being into anything alternative before 92... not unless you like gettng ostracized and beat up for looking different. Girls wont sleep with you cuz you are into 'scary' music etc... the pressure to listen to crap that gets you laid was much more intense and prevalent then. You are lucky, enjoy the freedom post Lollapalooza.

  • Ya, and it's amazing that people forget or don't know that bands like Jane's, soundgarden ect. where around for a least a few years before Nivana hit the scene.

  • something like this always deserves 5 stars, at least!

  • JA was my very first Concert in '88. I saw them with Primus in Salt Lake City, Utah...

  • that would probably be the sickest gig ever.

  • this is the best song ever i wasant alive wen it came out but if i was the day it came out in any album i would buy it punk rock and alt-rock are better than any other type of song

  • they r maybe..

  • i heard they were making a new album, can anyone confirm this?

  • I love Janes Addiction but if it sounds anything like Strays count me out

  • fucking amazing

    i love JA!!!

  • ja was the very beginning of what came to be called alternative rock

  • I don't know about direct competition but I saw GnR in 1988 and Janes Addiction in 1993 and both bands were awesome.

  • JA didnt exist in 93

  • I can't beleive Guns N Roses was their main competition in LA. I like GnR, but this shit is amazing.

  • u ask me, JA blows GNR away! and I like them both.

  • Woah I have some good memories associated with this track.

  • That intro is so great! Perry's a funny motherfucker

  • was'nt that BillieJoeArmstrong at 3:33 or around that time?

  • Ha, that does look a bit like Billy Joe ... but I think he's real tiny.

  • Revolution by Judas Priest = 2005

Hang Tough by Tesla = 1989

    Mountain Song by Jane's Addiction = 1988

Proof indeed as to how original and influential the legendary Jane's are!

  • Good band that was ahead of its time. Really went against the grain at the time they came out. Wish they would have put out more shit though.

  • ted just admit it and 3 days best jane's songs!!

  • ... ooooooh ywaaaaa ... and .... yuuuuummmmmmmmmm...... mmmmmmmmm...

  • comminnnnnnnnnnng down tha mooooooooountaiiiiiiiin

  • the best the best the best ooooooo ooooo oooo

  • this and sex is violent are the best

  • nah man, "Then she did" is the greatest song of all time.

  • its a good song ya but come on!

  • its a great song

but i think "three days" is their greatest song...

even might be the greatest song in the 90's

  • isn't it called "Ted Just Admit It"

I wouldnt call it their very best songs, but its certianly up there, along with three days, then she did, summertime rolls, etc

  • Too bad that Perry refused to censor the "bad parts" of this video.....if he had, Jane's would've gotten more, um, "exposure" at the time thru MTV airplay and other outlets. DEFINITELY their best song from their best album!

  • I think it's great that he refused. It shows Artistic integrity that has virtually disappeared in today's music industry.

  • and that's exactly why we can enjoy Jane's A today...coz they didn't sell out and produce over produced shit (like Strays). Listen to the last minute of the video above...say's it all. You won't find a Janes A song running in the background of some shitty Ad on TV. Look at Been caught Stealing!! It's the only song you see on MTV. Didn't take them to dissolve after that. Three days best song!!

  • hang on, are you saying the Strays was shit or not.

  • My favourite song off Nothing's Shocking

  • Watching this makes me realise how modern guitar music no longer has an 'edge' like these guys had. You can tell that there was an explosive creative energy between these guys, they made rock music exciting and dangerous. JA were a truly awesome band and I am sad that they could never stay together for long. The shock waves they made in alternative music will be felt for a very long time to come though.

  • Why does looking at perry then and now make you want to cry? You realize he's 20 years older now and in his fourties. Youe expect him to look 20 forever? He was never an idealistic eddie vedder type, he actually liked being a rock star...

  • perry was like 28 before Jane's even blew up. He's like 50 now and he looks great. If anything, he was a lot more gangly looking back in the day

  • i can play that on bass

  • the question is can you create a bassline like that... cause you can teach monkey to play that.

  • Exaaaactly... shit. I hear this dude and that dude say "I can play that" then I tell them "You can, but you are NOT 'that'".

  • Sure you can play that on bass. The important question is - can you create something as good on your own?

  • it's a fun line.

  • Yeah, but that doesn't MAKE you 'that' bassline just because YOU think it's 'fun'. The arrogance!

  • It's definitely not the greatest. but like i said, it's fun. I for one couldn't stop playing it early on in my bass playing career.

  • perry farrell was a god. there was never a band like JA and there has not been one since. and that includes porno for pyros and satellite party. watching perry as he was then and looking at him now makes me want to cry.
