  • There goes 70% of the Dutch economy.

  • So as a Canadian I was planning to go back to Europe next year. Now that I find that weed is illegal what the hell am I to do in Amsterdam? visit some museum or see Ann Franks house?

haha lol sorry but I'll spend my money in relevant places like the UK or France. The drug / sex trade is the only reason why north Americans would ever visit.

  • @kyle019 you stupid idiot. there are hundreds of shops. And I can garantuee you they don't give a fuck about that law. and that law doesn't even exist yet

  • I cant imagine they will implement it to be honest, has such a massive knock on effect especially in amsterdam. Firstly, and this applies to non smokers too, amsterdam would lose the air of freedom about it, which is part of what makes it such a relaxed and non-judgmental city. Then you have the coffeeshops that would lose a huge amount of trade (and tax for government), along with all the souvenir shops and food outlets aimed at smokers. Stoners spend alot of money over there, I should know ;)

  • wtf is going on with the dude screaming

  • So whats the status on the law did it pass ??? Too bad if it does... cause that is one huge chunk of business out of Amsterdam.Too bad looks like you guys are going to the right wing in the political world... I would fight it. We all got to OVERGROW THE GOVERNMENT ...PEACE.

  • In all honesty, most ppl who travel there go for the pot, so they'd be losing tons of money essentially.

  • Guess the seed business would still boom, does the ban say Tourists can't buy Cannabis or anything cannabis related? So folks can buy the seeds but not smoke the weed?

  • The liberal and chilled attitiude in amsterdam is the reason its so special there!

  • If it ends up with that...That you cant go to coffeeshops unles your a citizen of the country... Visit Denmark and go to Christiania... Its not legal, but as close as you get to legal ;)....

And this comment makes so much more sense in my head... I hope you understand what i mean :D
