Seriously theres no contest, mariah is good but not in charice's class, mariah has a voice that can be hard on the ear and she as never moved me the way charice had. Charice is simply the best vocalist in our history period, no one has ever had such a powerful voice like Charice, she dosent break in any note she SINGS! no matter how loud she delivers them. Mariah and Charice are both great, and there's plenty of room at the top. It's funny that the only people who try to bring Charice down are her own people. She makes sure that wherever she is, they know she's Filipino and so very proud. Charice was correct, she was the first to receive a standing ovation according to Paul and the staff that lasted a good 2-3 minutes. Try and clap your hands for 3 minutes straight. @brightspark495 Technically, I can say you're right but nowadays, it's impossible to sell for instance 20 millions copies for an album, especially with people downloading illegally. Even "21"'s Adele (the best selling album in 2011) sold 12 million copies, though I expected for more with the huge success she has; the same for Gaga (only 5-6 million). Everyone knows those two will never sell 200 million records through their career. In 2011, it's just not possible anymore, not like the 60's-90's.
