  • I could sacrifice my left nut if it meant I could play this lick! I think I took an arrow to the knee just about now...

  • Crazy Train!

  • Sounds like a decent Slash tone with a few adjustments.

  • it just needs something at the end, it feels like it ends slightly too soon.

  • Are you in a band?

  • randy rhoads style

  • I think it sounds better, well not better but a bit bluesier, if you go from 5th string 7th fret and slide down to the fifth fret and then hit the A note on the low E. Instead of the 9th fret on the low E and then the A note. It's the same not but slide sounds more bluesy.

  • Cool, you should play it that way then. =)

  • Wat type of pickups r in that Strat?

  • Semour Duncan...... JB Junior in the bridge.

  • @DiscoverGuitarOnline

This is some heavy stuff man! I get the Hendrix feeling while playing!

And I aswell got a Semour Duncan on my Strato at the bridge, but I aint got the Jeff Beck Junior :) But I'm looking forward to buy it!

  • Van Halen!

  • do you have low action on your guitars?

  • You are the best guitarist of the world !! Good !:!

  • 5000th view.

  • its funny cus i already know the licks used in it so its just a combination of them to make one cool sound. nice! just need a wah now =(

  • cool, & thanks. =)

sounds good without the wah as well.

  • is this half a step down?

  • It should be standard. I never tune that guitar down because of the Floyd.

  • well i guess my guitar's really out of tune then lol. thanks for the great lick btw. I find your lessons to be the most helpful on the web.

  • theres this guy jaiminhopagina, does really good lessons, look him up!

  • this style of playing is what made me want to learn guitar

  • sick 14.5/15

  • thanx man !

  • Amazing and helpful...as always with your lessons!

  • Totaly a Randy Rhoads lick..sick, sounds great!!

  • Thanks,

yeah, it is inspired by Rhoads for sure. It's basically a blues scale lick with a note from the natural minor scale thrown in. Very common for late 70's early 80's metal guitarists.

  • hey thanks this helped me a ton!

  • Thats sick!

    Sounds like randy rhoads!

  • Wow, sweet lick.

  • uff,i 'll give my best

  • there is probably a raised 5th somewhere in there, i havent looked closely at the tabs or anything pretty sure its dorian

  • Actually, It's not dorian. It's minor blues (with 1 note from natural minor)

  • i like it.

  • Sounds like Slash.

  • beutiful

  • Daaamn!

    NICE :D

  • nice dorian lick

  • Awesome...doesn't something like this come up in Crazy Train? Thx for the lesson!

  • yeah thats a famous lick that randy rhoads used quite often

  • Thanks. it's not exactly the same, but it is similar & inspired by it.

  • somewhat like crazy train but you dont bar the B and E string on its solo.
