I ended up buying the Maxi jet 1200 it actually gets a strong flow at 4 feet up tube lol crazy.

hey I am thinking of buying 3 of these because my waterfall head is 3 feet high. Anyone know how much flow I should expect I have a 4ft high x 4ft long x 4ft deep terrarium, and I need a large watefall to match the size of the terrarium. Should I buy 4 or 5 instead? Again the pumps will be fighting gravity 3 feet up

do you dechlorinate the water before you use the pump? that might have caused them to quit out

my minijet would slow down and pretty much stop after an hour too, try putting the pump in a stocking and securing it on with a rubber band around the output nozzle because it seemed to work for mine. it is probably caused by the pump sucking in small particles of substrate/soil

Mine has no elevation so it may be apples to oranges comparrison .I'm not fighting gravity much .

what kind of tubing do you use? i recently tried this with a repti flo from exoterra, but my tubing was really thick, it went up only about 10 inches

I used 1/4 inch drip line...I found using 1/2 inch line works much better going directly from the pump to the head of the water fall. I had an exoterra pump and returned it...weak sauce IMO.

have sum wat of a unrelated question. im making a foam background and im goin to press soil onto the foam using GE black Silicone for windows & door. i was wondering if it was safe for my frogs cause it says "Mold and mildew resistant" i've heard that the silicone with fungus and mildew "inhibitors" was not safe but ive heard all kinds of things. it doesnt specifically say that it has those "inhibitors" so is it safe to use?

Do not use siliconeII if it has Bioseal. You can buy GE 100% siliconeI from Lowes or HD.
