I've American and ever since I went to Australia last summer and my Australian friend introduced me to "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" I've loved Michael, he's so hilarious!!!! I wish he was more well known in the US. He's wonderful.

MC has a huge fund of funny stories about mishaps that happened on stage at his own expense. He's hilarious, he could keep going for over an hour just telling these stories while you're laughing till tears come in your eyes. He usually got Parkinson tearing up with laughter, lol. I have some downloaded on my PC.

I recently watched a countdown of the greatest comedy characters, and Frank Spencer was nowhere near high enough. Basil Fawlty and Alan Partridge are brilliant, but Frank walks in comedy heaven.

MC personifies the professional Brit actor. The immortal role of the Phantom could have completely gone to his head, but he came through it remarkably grounded. He really enjoys laughing at himself. An American actor would have been entrapped in the role and gone nuts.

ALW at least knew Crawford was classically trained in voice, but most everybody else didn't know that. Once ALW heard him sing at his vocal teachers place (Crawford didn't know it) he said to the teacher, " I think we just found our Phantom". And yes, Michael has such a great sense of humor. Love his laugh.

I have that documentary to Medusa0999 and Michael never went mental on the dancers or said a thing about them. Re-watch the documentary and quit spreading falsehoods or lies about Michael. If you don't like him for some weird reason then don't watch his videos. What they did say is that Webber or one of the other people in charge cut some of the dancers numbers down after they nhad worked so had on them and Gillian Lynn felt bad for the young dancers. Shame people for believing wrong information
I agree "thephantom1946". I have met Michael several times since 1988 and have talked to a bunch of his co-stars and he has a ton of people that respect him that have worked with him. Nobodys perfect and Michael is as demanding on himself as his co-workers. Plus the documentary was produced by Webbers company so think about that "Capricaquarius89". Michaels dresser even talked about how sexy Mike is and how much she enjoyed working with him. Nobodys perfect but MCs got a great heart for people
Not true. His costars really loved Michael. Many of them cried when he left. You must have heard on the documentary about his earlier years. He is a perfectionist. Please don't put an incorrect spin on that, just rewatch that documentary.

The bbc documentary on phantom, it's on youtube if you want i can link, spoke about him being a perfectionist. They interviewed co stars and they recalled that if the dancers were too loud he would go mental at them for it,
I have that doc recorded and practically know it by heart, lol, the dancers said he would " get on them about it" not go mental. Once all the problems were ironed out, it was fine. The cast memebers were very fond of him after all that time. Tears were shed when he left each venue. London, NY and LA.

Michael Crawford's character aint changed much from his classic comedies. Sooooo funny and joyous.Guys like this with spontaneously and almost instinctively funny characters are rare. I agree "thephantom1946". I have met Michael several times since 1988 and have talked to a bunch of his co-stars and he has a ton of people that respect him that have worked with him. Nobodys perfect and Michael is as demanding on himself as his co-workers. Plus the documentary was produced by Webbers company so think about that "Capricaquarius89". Michaels dresser even talked about how sexy Mike is and how much she enjoyed working with him. Nobodys perfect but MCs got a great heart for people

He's really talented, but from what I've heard, he is a real diva to work with. Apparently all of his costars called him "Joan" he was so bad...

Not true. His costars really loved Michael. Many of them cried when he left. You must have heard on the documentary about his earlier years. He is a perfectionist. Please don't put an incorrect spin on that, just rewatch that documentary.

The bbc documentary on phantom, it's on youtube if you want i can link, spoke about him being a perfectionist. They interviewed co stars and they recalled that if the dancers were too loud he would go mental at them for it,

I have that doc recorded and practically know it by heart, lol, the dancers said he would " get on them about it" not go mental. Once all the problems were ironed out, it was fine. The cast memebers were very fond of him after all that time. Tears were shed when he left each venue. London, NY and LA.

Michael Crawford's character aint changed much from his classic comedies. Sooooo funny and joyous.Guys like this with spontaneously and almost instinctively funny characters are rare. We need mothers to produce these kinds of funny breeds to spice up life to make worth living. Long live Frank Spencer F.W.

I LOVE Michaels laugh too! It makes you feel good and smile know matter how crappy your day is going. I agree...MC is the biggest sweetheart on the face of the planet. Hes absolutely precious.
