@AlexisNembrode yep, same exact sound engine and patches. the biggest difference and reason for the price difference is the snow has less processing power than the flagship models, so it can only do four part multi-timbral instead of sixteen part, and you'll run out of polyphony sooner when using the most complex patches. however, neither of these were a big deal to me as i rarely use multi-timbrality at all, and you can still get 4-6 voices out of even the most complex patches.
@mattbfc2009 Yes you can still edit sounds ,and it has 4 knobs already loaded with preset sound changing ,for each sound.plus cuttoff and resonance change the sounds quite a bit.And 4 part multitimbral.i wasnt dissapointed with it at all.
so what your saying is that the virus snow ti you cannot edit and create patches or you can. does it take a lot of CPU power when being used with a daw and the VST software that comes with the snow.
@atabeylive Hi.No you can edit or create sounds, but to do it on board the snow you must go in and out of different screen by clicking buttons,on the virus ti desktop i have,it has a lot of knobs on you can twiddle to create sounds .But i think if you use it with the provided software .you can make new sounds with ure computer.I dont use computers at all.No it doesnt use a lot of cpu because the vst uses the snow itself to generate sounds.
@Synthsound1 i already place the order for the virus snow ti. Hope its worth every cent, :-) since its a learning bend to get use to the power of this synth.
@atabeylive I live in manchester england.Ive got a virus Ti -And virus snow, wished i had got the virus polar to start with,i have the virus ti desktop no keys though.Yes thats a good price.unfortunatly i dont have the spare cash though lol.
I like how present these demos Dave: similar to the Akai vintage module..very well done. I know you've mentioned this before, but if you can refresh my memory.. what were the main differences between the snow and the ti? Also, are these patches available with the ti, or just with the snow?
@NickDrake101 Thanks Walt. The main differences are virus ti is 16 part multitimbral, although in reality you get nowhere near that ,im lucky to get 5 voices multitimbral .The virus ti has a lot more knobs fore sound editing or creating from scratch, much easier, although it can be done with the snow ,there is more page flicking to get to parameters.A lot of the patches on the snow are on the virus, but the virus has moe patches, but once again the snow is a lot cheaper with as good sounds.
@Synthsound1 Thanks Dave...yes i see what you mean...and yes there are only so many voices in a practical sense. I didn't realize that about the quality factor..it really does make the snow quite exceptional for the money.
does the snow has the same patches that the TI2 does? because if it does, its a hell of a lot of price difference
