  • I've got two young kids taking lessons from me. Keeping it simple as per your insight. The one boy taking the banjo is just doing strumming. However when we play together it's effective. Too many students get discouraged when the details outweigh the over all effect. Together the three of us are starting to sound pretty good. Two guitars and a banjo. Mom may go back to her standup bass. Fun!

  • @MrFritz136 doesnt get better than that. That is eternity in the moment.

I think of Alison Krause , betles , I will with banjo. sent link.

beatles- i will- with simple banjo part . not a strum maybe a simple student version w your guitar. vocal is basic. (maybe not an irish ballad style LOL)

    mom must get her bass.

  • I appreciate the way you make the "G" chord. That way it's easy to go to "G7." Most don't plan that. Like your simple style, simple singing techniques. Very effective!

  • @MrFritz136 belated thanks.its cuz im self taught and a bit average.Need only close enough to enjoy singing.Hard chords too stressful. :-)

  • That guitar sounds really sweet ,, is it a Martin ? cheers ,, dave

  • Try doing "Masters of War." The lyrics are great but its hard for some to understand Bob Dylan. Your voice would do it justice.
