I have a question, if my psu has three 12v rails , then does the amperage stack from them?Because if my video card needs one pci express 6 pin connector ,will it get the required amperage of 40 ? if i count all the amps from those 12v rails together it is 46A
Hmm that seems like a great case which is it? correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's the haf series or something It has some good cable managment holes just what I need!
Do you record the video with just your hands and then speak over the the video once it's done? I feel like your hands are quite acting as your speaking its bugging me not knowing lol.
Very nice review, but I don't think I'll be buying one of these. My 650w PSU is plenty to handle my 4850. (and it is rated high enough that I won't need a new power supply for quite some time.)
Seems like a solid PSU. I believe it's built by CWT who also makes many of the Corsair and Thermaltake PSU's. All good names so I'm sure this one's great too!
Hi, thanks for subscribing. I have used all the other Hardware components I have done reviews with (See my other videos) in all the systems I build, and I also mix them around when testing to see how they perform.
Looks like a really good power supply but way too expensive. $250 on Newegg. You can get a Corsair 1000W for that or a different modular 850W for $100 less...
hey pcwizguy im thinking of buying a power supply on my old pc but i kept wondering this question.does any power supply is compatible with any motherboard like a intel one?
thanks dude for helping me another question what ram should i get i heard i cant use 4 gb ram with core i7 i need tripple channel what does that mean ddr3 ????
i subscribed i luv ur vids is there much of a difference between ddr3 tri 1333mhz and 1600mhz its just that 1333 is alot cheaper and im just a kid with $1000. also is this psu suffice for: -Intel i7 920 -Corshair 3x2048mb 1333mhz tri -Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREME Motherboard -XFX GeForce GTX 280 -500gb HDD thanks
Hi this PSU is more than enough for your configuration. Also for the DDR , if your getting a Core i7 DDR3-1333 provides a peak bandwidth of 21.3GB/s, while DDR3-1600 reaches 25.6GB/s, more is better, which means that you can read/write more with DDR3-1600. its upto you. If your on a budget get 1333.

Is that PSU backwards compatible for the old ATXV1? I'm guessing it would be, I never will fully understand power supply units.
glentlock667 3 years ago
The motherboard connector is both 20 or 24pin so its compatible with different boards.

cesarsony124 3 years ago
Yes, pretty much. Though now with the new Core i7 there are PSU's made for that specifically. But most are generic.
PCWizKid 3 years ago
should you have the fan facing out? i had mine facing up, runs cool, but i keep dropping screws in!
(i got an 800w though)
HariltonSmythe 3 years ago
Well the issue is do you want warm air blowing into your case from the PSU?

Hi yes DDR3 like the ones I specified in my hardware list on my website. you can install 3x2Gig modules if you want for a total of 6Gig ram.
I like the corsair ddr3 I have (see my site for details).
