  • Creo que es la mejor interpretación de esta obra , que eh escuchado!!!

  • I think she's the best virtuose violinist in the present times...

  • fantastic...

  • Wow... That is one heck of a violinist! But, also, such amazing accompaniment! Wonderful performance of them all. If you listen very closely from 2:59 to 3:16 you can hear all those little notes in between the seemingly constant E.

  • 5*****

  • whew.......

  • Excelente interprete.

  • She is just wonderful! Thanks for posting!

  • How expensive of violin? Just how many hours of practice? I wonder

  • I don't like the bowings she's using. It should be 3 notes per bow.

  • @marazm1 I use the same bowing as her and I find it more comfortable to play and I like the sound of it, personally.

  • I have no words for how amazing this was to watch and experience. The sound is just breathtaking. Brava!

  • I have assisted today to the concert she has performed in Barcelona! Amazing!

  • I wonder if she would marry me...hmm...

  • This is my favorite piece XD thanks for upload! =) Grettings From México

  • Hilary Hahn has the perfect balance between steadfasted technique and brilliant musicality. :)

  • what piece is this? where can i get the full recording? b-e-a-utiful

  • @ande5665

This is the thrid movement from concerto for violin in a minor BWV1041, composed by JS Bach.

Using " Hilary Hahn Bach concerto" as keyword in Amazon would lead you to the album.

    Cheers!

  • I never had heard something so beautiful

  • OH MY GOD.

I was told by my violin teacher to listen to her.. Man, I hope I get to be a third as good as she is.

  • It's just amazing I respect her!

  • awesomness!

  • If there has ever been a violinist who deserves to be playing a Strad, it is the beautiful young lady right here IMO

  • HOW AWESOME IS THIS!!!!!!!!!

  • Of course Bach would have loved this. Only an imbecile would not love this.

  • Are there any full recordings like this one of the 1st and 2nd movements

  • hellz yeah

  • Shes good

  • She's got the real stuff!

  • stunning in every respect. I think her playing is very athletic and mature FAR beyond her years. I think JS Bach would have loved this.

  • The conductor says "We run from the first movement right?" and then they play the third.

    Am I wrong?

  • what ever the hell he said but this movement has 32nd notes in it and i just know they are going to give me all kinds of hell

  • @Bolorinvasore Nope. You are right, I noticed that too....

  • @Bolorinvasore I think is due just to non sequential movie montage.

  • @Bolorinvasore haha... that's a funny awareness..

  • @Bolorinvasore I think he says take 1

  • evidently she likes Bach!:)

  • omg. she is so good.

  • It's that true? Where did you find that information? thanks

  • I think this reaction of Harnoncourt is Ok....but...I am a fan of Hillary and I apreciate her perfection in performances and musical skills very much. I think it was very important the work of Harnoncourt, Leonardt, Koopman, Herrevege.......and I like to hear historical versions, but, Bach music is so important that it's also interesting to hear it with "modern" instruments and I don't give up to it.

  • This is incredible.

I listened her play brahms concerto and her tone was extremely transparent.

I think her real prodigy reside in not only technique but incredibly stable tone.

  • i totally agree

  • which bach concerto and movement is this?

  • Is the violin concerto in A minor BWV 1041, and here is the third movement allegro assai

  • okay thanks! i want to play it haha

  • is the best violin

  • Es la mejor figura del violín -hombres y mujeres incluidos- pero además con diferencia.

  • right!

  • es una belleza de video

  • oops

  • great to hear this with no speaker interuption

  • For me this is the best version of 3rd movement.

  • her sleeve magically opens and closes...

  • where?

  • ooh i just noticed after reading that comment! on her left arm sometimes the sleeve is up and sometimes down. :D

  • haha it wouldn't let me comment again but i noticed too right after reading this :)

  • Actually, this is her DG debut, but this isn't her DEBUT debut--This also happens to be a Bach album, but this is the concertos. The first CD was unaccompanied violin sonatas and partitas, and she recorded that album in 1996 in NY.

  • Actually this wasn't her DEBUT debut--This was the first DG album she cut, which oddly enough was also a Bach album just like her first, but that was on Sony, and that was recorded in NY 7 years earlier.

    Hope that was helpful. :)
