In answer to your question; I used the one supplied with the kit, but found that it was too flimsy for flying so I filled each cylinder with silicon sealer and after hardening it formed a tough dummy engine and added some needed nose weight to the model. I have used this technique before with William's brothers cylinders as a pattern and play dough for the mold.

@Atompinguin This model will fly about 10 to 12 minutes with 10 ounces (250 cc) of fuel.
