@mrdanman9 Honestly the only console that has allot of power of its own is the ps3, mainly just the cpu, the graphic card has very small ram.. although from what i understand emulation takes 10X or 100X the power of the original console (or better) to run smooth (with a perfect emulator) (not that there IS a perfect emulator for anything). 360 advocates leave me alone, im 1 of you but my PC stomps it, just the ingame setting are better, lets not get into the MOD war as well.

@thekiesah1 go on google and type in pcsx2 but for some reason it doesnt work on AMD computers and with most people it just about works with Intel core 2 quad (a friend of mines computer: 4GB ddr3 RAM, 2.88GHz core 2 quad, nVidia 9600gt and it just about worked on his computer) although i have heard about people getting it to work on intel duel core 2.5GHz and 2GB ram. BTW if you have know idea what all that means then you wont get it to work

@1993gandy oh yeah also the PS2 uses a 500MHz 128bit CPU and a special video chip that i cant remember its name and no PC that you can buy in the shops has a 128bit CPU and if you want to get a computer that will run it properly will cost you around 500GBP and you can get a ps2 now adays for 20GBP-50GBP so it will be a lot cheaper to get a ps2

Your hardware is not enough for the inefficient emulation, but you should still be atleast doing better than 2 fps. What graphics plugin are you using for the emulator? You may want to use another.

It's not on PC, he's using a PS2 emulator and you need a pretty powerful PC to emulate the PS2 to full speed.

I would say at least a dual core processor with an Nvidia 8600gt minimum to emulate the games at good framerates (the ones that DO emulate perfectly which are more and more everyday).

Trust me it wouldnt have to be that great. The graphics are dated. I have an 8600GT and can play games like portal and L4D with 4xAA on all high in multiplayer and get great framerates. I would say to get PS2 graphics anywhere from the 7 series and up would suffice.

Right, I have a GTX 275, but that's not the point. You're emulating the system itself first (which is pretty complex, it's not a dreamcast or an Xbox) AND THEN the games, you need an 8 series card at least, specially some of the features that are available on the 8 series that aren't on the 7 series which are used by the emulator. I can tell you because I tried with an older 7800GTX and it was ok but once I got the 275 it was much better, no graphics glitches on compatible games.
