In 1930's Japan was fighting communism. We knew what they were. Japan was Barry Goldwater at that time. FDR was a leftist, a liberal, a progressive - a friend of Nazis, Fascists, Bolsheviks… Stalin didn't like it. Neither did FDR. So, they conspired against us.
Read Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism". Read Ann Coulter's "Demonic". Then, you will understand what I am saying.
Harry Dexter White was a senior US Treasury department officer under FDR and Truman. A great conservative commentator Ann Coulter explains how FDR and Truman administration were infested with Soviets in detail in her book "Treason".
This was the day the United States began war against Japan. This is not a mistake, because war is started not by those who fired the first shot, but the those who make the first shot "inevitable". We, Japan, made compromise after compromise just to prevent the looming war. But, FDR just ignored our efforts. Finally, we got ultimatum, authored by Harry White, a convicted Soviet spy, which made the war unavoidable.
If you believe you are a wise man, read your colleague's book BETRAYED FREEDOM.
There are many voices that Japan attacked Hawaii without notice. The fact is the people in Hawaii were effectively attacked/abondoned by the President Franklin DR before Japan did. Through his intelligence network, Franklin was aware of the planned attack but did not disclose the info to the people in Hawaii. Franklin should be looked down. It's GEORGE NASH's book, read it if you can read alphabets.
The US President Franklin was aware of the planned attack over Hawaii by the Japanese warbombardment through the American intelligence activities. But Franklin has decided not to alert the people in Hawaii, and made use their feeling to involve Japan into the wars between the Nazis Germany and the America. This was later on affirmed by another US president HOOVER.
Check the historian George Nash with his book titled BETRAYED FREEDOM.
Having lived through that time I can tell you that perspective is unadulterated bullshit. FDR made the hard decision. The one that saved my country for all out anarchy. No website will ever reveal that truth.
Check George Nash and his book Betrayed Freedom, and you can argue with him, not me. I am a Japanese and my grandfather who was a volunteered fireman(fire extinguisment) and was bombed by the American B29 bomberdment flew from Guam. He was guiding the innocent citizens to the evacuation center near his house. I want to know really who really triggered the war against Japan. And on the same day my grandpa died, America dropped an atomic bomb over Hiroshima. I dont like Franklin
Of course you don't. Because he made the really hard decisions that facilitated my country to rise up out of the Depression. That wasn't free. It was expensive. Not just for American kids going off to fight in every shit hole on Earth - but because little countries all over the globe had to pick up the bill, physically, for our people steamrolling over them.
But - then didn't strike first, but we ALWAYS strike back - murderously.
@DarwinsFriend In your opinion, why did Japan have to attack Hawaii and why President Franklin did not aleart his people in Hawaii even Franklin knew the war-aircrafts were flying from Japan? If you cannot answer or do not want to know the facts, you have not opened eyes. You look you want to stay where you feel comfortable to sit. You have picked up the facts that are convenient to you. @gojudaidesu ...In your opinion, why did Japan have to attack Hawaii and why President Franklin did not alert his people in Hawaii..
Embargoes against the Japanese home islands. That real estate has some pretty trees, lots of hot water and rocks, but little other natural resources. The U.S. & Britain had a strangle hold on those island – via their control of SEA’s oil, rubber, brass, nickel and coal supplies. The only cheap way to move those commodities was/remains via the ocean.
@DarwinsFriend We (the Allies) flanked the Japanese navy (which had dutifully taken notes during visits to the States) & shut down the shipping lanes they patrolled. JFK’s Daddy had been selling the Japanese scrap metal for a decade prior to the war so the furnaces of their steel industry had to be fed. In their visits with the Nippon diplomats their spies also made great efforts to focus on naval aviation many years prior to 1941 & cut their teeth on China’s feeble port defenses.
@DarwinsFriend They ended up with a butt-load of bombing experience. Between that and making miniatures of Pearl Harbor – their hot sticks made stunning advancements in releasing big torpedoes in very shallow water. Stateside, FDR in the years prior to the war – had planned for the obviously coming conflict – by building an army of 3,000,000 young lads of 17 to 26 years in age – via the CCC and the WPA.
@DarwinsFriend A smart, old, cold and calculating bastard – willing to make the hard decisions to keep his country from falling into anarchy during the Great Depression. No choice. You give a kid a new pair of shoes, three complete sets of clothes, 3 meals a day, medical attention, and a place to sleep – you’re building an army for a major series of battles.
@DarwinsFriend Because the general public still had a nasty taste in its mouth from “The War to End All Wars”, making arms wasn’t going to get funded to go along with his fine, young force. Germany was torturing the British Isles and Churchill was agonizing to FDR that the “Lend-Lease Act” was nice, but not nearly enough to save his country.
@DarwinsFriend Sure aircraft were being towed with farmers tractors across the Canadian border and then smuggled to England – and the Brits were most appreciative, but Hitler was printing money for the English to use during the occupation. Pearl was the only thing that would shock the American public out of their coma and fill them with a dedicated and murderous vengeance.
@DarwinsFriend Hence the reason Truman didn’t really hesitate about trying two different atomic weapon designs on relatively un-bombed Japanese cities just to see what the effects would be upon their civilian populations. And the world was never the same.

@IS0iOS Who said that? It wasn’t Charles Darwin. The Theory of Evolution doesn’t state that. So from what Creationist website are you regurgitating that from?
BTW – you’re not expressing something that hasn’t been said by a thousand Christers – including my dear friend Kent Hovind. From federal prison – right now.
So come up with something original to dazzle this 80-year-old man, eh?
You people who came here to rant about conspiracies and whatnot should be god damned ashamed of yourselves. Show some fuckin respect and thank these vets who died so your ass can sit at a computer and be free to write whatever you please.
Everyone this is the 1011th anniversary of the Battle of Svolder in Norway. Let's take a moment to salute those fallen and forgotten names.
Silly, ain't it? No one gives a shit about the Battle of Svolder, and no one will give a shit about Pearl Harbor. War is forgotten as quickly as those who remember it perish - we are doomed to an eternal cycle of war and strife. It was true 1000 years ago, it will be true 1000 years from now. Only technology will free us, not these bullshit ceremonies.
@Water4Jeremiah meh technology will not save us. At the continued rate of technological advance technology is fast outgrowing our morals. therefore humanity will be the doom of us all. Plus these ceremonies are here to remind us of the events so hopefully we ill not repeat this action again.
@dodapants ...At the continued rate of technological advance technology is fast outgrowing our morals...
The same was said in 1552 with the advent of the early modern four-wheeled ballista (where the term ballistic originated) drawn by armored horses - which was a massive crossbow.
@Water4Jeremiah Pearl Harbor is about US. You don't see Americans commemorating battles that have nothing to do with the U.S. whether they happened 10 years ago or a 1000 years ago. Furthermore, WWII veterans are STILL ALIVE. Pearl Harbor might not matter as much once it's centuries past, but for now it's still close to home and it doesn't hurt to show our vets some respect. It doesn't matter if no one a thousand years from now will care, because we live NOW and not later.
@stewinsalot TO THE FAKE OF NANKING? THAT PEARL HARBOR WAS AN ALLOWED SELFATTACK IS ADMITTED BY 98% OF USA HISTORIANS AND EVEN BY ALL TOP POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON,YOU BRAINLESS FOOL.USA HAS A LONG TRADITION IN SELFATTACKS:ALAMO,THE MAINE,PEARL HARBOR,TWIN TOWERS... GO COMPLAINT TO YOUR D.C OWNERS,USELESS COWARD.
@DarwinsFriend THAT PEARL HARBOR WAS AN ALLOWED SELFATTACK IS ADMITTED BY MANY USA HISTORIANS AND EVEN BY ALL TOP POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON,YOU BRAINLESS FOOL.USA HAS A LONG TRADITION IN SELFATTACKS:ALAMO,THE MAINE,PEARL HARBOR,TWIN TOWERS... GO COMPLAINT TO YOUR D.C OWNERS,USELESS COWARD.
@valparda731 Well, we've gone from 98% of the historians in the United States to "MANY." How many and who are they? And the Alamo? What the living fuck? Put the crack pipe down, leave your mother's basement and go play outside on the lawn.
@DarwinsFriend SPEAKING ABOUT DEATH CIVILIANS REVEALS A HUGE INFERIORITY COMPLEX TOWARDS JAPAN.NO MATTER HOW MANY CIVILIANS KILLED IT WAS USELESS. IT DIDN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT IN THE END USA WOULD END UP BEING FORCED TO SURRENDER ALL ITS OBJECTIVES (ORDERS FROM WASHINGTON)TO JAPAN,LIKE JUDGING THE EMPEROR,DISOLVING THE ZAIBATSU OR DESMANTLING THE ARMY. NOW AS USA IS ENSLAVED BY AXIS MONEY THE ONLY THING USA CAN DO IS SATISFYING ISRAELI AND JAPANESE INTERESTS.THE 88YEAR EMPEROR WOULD LAUGH
He's right...the younger Generation don't know a Thing. At my High School Not even MY HISTORY Teachers knew it was the 70th Anniversary. Only Teacher that did know was my AutoMotives Teacher. spent all day Talking. God Bless Those People. This day shall Continue to live on...in Infamy.
@ehscottylink my USHAP teacher is allowing me to give the pearl harbor address tomorrow. I think that schools need to keep the youth informed about this, they did not even remind the student body on the announcements about today being the 70th anniversery
what kind of comments are these, fisting ur mom -sucking hitlers dick????do u even what happened today 70 years??? u dont even hav the right to watch the video
@IS0iOS lol you have no clue what your talking about. Just end this conversation if you dont know anything about WWII.
Dropping 2 Nukes was SAFER than invading. Only 150,000 people were killed when the bombs were dropped. If the U.S. invaded, there would be atleast 6 million Japanese dead and 1,000,000 U.S. dead. Nuke was the way to go.
@IS0iOS ROFL thats where your wrong again! U.S.A. Has 23,000 Nuclear weapons at end of the Cold War and Soviet's had only 13,000 (some where around there) and The United States has a bigger population, and better technology. Russia only has 144 million people now-a-days,, US has 344 million, And time has proven time and time again, the larger population wins.
@OccupyLink Well, in the United States at least - that hasn't been any different since the Civil War. If you actually think you're going to change that system, doing anything, you're sadly delusional. Just like in Las Vegas - the House NEVER loses. Wake up.
i was at school and there were 3 survivors from pearl harbor at my school for an assembly recognizing the 70th anniversary of pearl harbor, and much disrespect was in the crowd, that made my skin crawl, but god bless these men
@IS0iOS lalallaal, a fat hairy jew rabbi was raping your whore mother's hairy pussy in the gas chamber, she was screaming of pleasure, and both jewman and your whore were gassed........
If it wasn't for the Atomic Bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Millions of American lives would have been lost for Operation Downfall (Military plan on invading Japan). We should be grateful to learn of our ancestors mistakes and not take heed on it again. It was not America, who started this thing. It wasn't the Japanese who started it, It was the actions of the leaders, and of the military combatants who did it. Don't blame every Japanese for the mistakes of the past.
FDR made the hardest decision of any setting president and did the right thing for our teetering country. Considering the ‘keel laid date’ for the battleships lost averaged 1928 – he did the best thing. Naval aviation changed the world forever.
I have just about had it with you people that are such bleeding heart, fetus killing moron libs,I FOR ONE LOVE MY NATION AND OUR MILITARY IF YOU HATE IT SO DADGUM MUCH !@#$ING LEAVE!!!!
Re: American comment: "The Japanese cowardly attacked The United States on December 7, 1941. I'm glad our country dropped two atomic bombs on the worthless Japanese in 1945."
Comment: I cannot understand this American attitude. It is hard.
People who dont know the facts of this history please be quiet... You should have learned that USA stopped trading with Japan due to their expansion into other nations for reason of "living space" and raw materials. We knew an attack would come, but we werent sure where. And as for the atom bombs, after the Potsdam Conference, Japan had the choice to surrender, but they didnt, which meant, either invasion = a lot of lives lost both sides, or atom bomb with less lives lost, take your pick.
@lolackay Sounds like an American view of history - not what we were taught! My father's cousin wrote a study on preparedness in 1936. He was based in the Phillipines. He later fought in Operation Neptune (go on - Google it). I doubt you would know what that was. American history!
@SugarTomAppleRoger Sry i dont know every operation, but it looks as though it was part of Operation Overlord. I also have family members who served aswell.
@inkouzuraman I'm an American and I laugh at older Americans that take pride in the memory of a war. Japanese girls are fucking hot and that's all I care about.
@inkouzuraman It was more complicated than that. Japan was pretty much forced into war with the US. After all it was being blockaded. The whole business was nasty. As for serious mistakes, it is wise to build up economic strength and avoid conflict. That is what China is doing now, and what Germany and Japan didn't do. I think they will survive OK if they continue on that safe path.
@username00here What exactly did we learn? How to drop bombs on innocent civilians? At least the Japanese were civil and only killed military personnel.
@Water4Jeremiah LOL, you ignorant fuck, you obviously don't have a clue about how cruel and ruthless the imeprial japs were (both soldiers and civilians) against those they invaded or captured. Or, you're in a complete denial. KNOW the true history!
@DarwinsFriend Yeah, and I'm sure we just happened to drop that atomic bomb on a 'military' target that just happened to be a bridge in the middle of a commercial district in downtown Hiroshima. Americans were fucking brutal - that's how we won. We were willing to do what the Japanese weren't.
Nowadays the entire episode is a point of embarrassment on both sides. Why the fuck we celebrate these people is beyond me. You don't see Japanese taking pride in their wars like this.
@texnews2006 lmao. Have you ever been to Akihabara? I think they kick our ass in more ways than just on the battlefield. I think you should stick with the Alamo, Texan, 'cause Japanese know how to please.
@Water4Jeremiah Stop being a fuckin' troll and take your business elsewhere. Go jerk it to your hentai sex videos and get off this video. This is a video in respect to people who GAVE THEIR LIVES to protect our country after a surprise attack on our soil. What have you given? $20 to an Asian hooker? You don't have to go home, and I doubt your parents want you there, but you can't stay here.
@Water4Jeremiah ". Americans were fucking brutal - that's how we won. We were willing to do what the Japanese weren't."
You, idiot, the Japs couldn't nuke Ameerica ONLY because they didn't have the nukes. Otherwise, if they did, they DEFINITELY would have used them against America, as many as they can!
Absolutely agree with the video. The coverage of World War II, the largest, most violent conflict in the history of the world, is incredibly poor in our school systems compared to how much we cover earlier American history. I don't know why. Our world still feels the effects of World War II.
I wonder how many Jap cars will be parked in front of the local Navy Club today? December 7th, 1941 and September 11th, 2001 are dates that should NEVER, EVER be forgotten !!!!!!!
If it wasn't for Pearl Harbor, Michigan probably would have been divided into 2 seperate states. Therefore, Hawaii probably wouldn't have been made into an official state because the US would have already had 50 states by then. Hawaii probably would just have been US territory like Puerto Rico is now. So if it wasn't for those Japs, we would have a North Michigan instead of Hawaii. Problem veterans?
@TheMrBrendanMoore If it was only about being uneducated, it wouldn't be so bad. But, that's not the case. There are those, especially among the Japanese, who know better but still deliberately distort history to justify and rationalize the dastardly and cowardly act by Imperial Japan that started the war with the U.S.
@jacksrumgone because to some extent, it was. You need to do some research. It's not a new concept - it's been considered since December of '41. This does NOT take away from the heroism that American's showed during and after the attack.
@jacksrumgone 17 PBY’s were operational at Ford Island that morning. One of those flew to Johnston Atoll at dawn. The rest floated in the harbor or sat on the tarmac. They had a total range of 1,200 miles. None were on patrol.
The Japanese cowardly attacked The United States on December 7, 1941. I'm glad our country dropped two atomic bombs on the worthless Japanese in 1945.
@PaulKersey10 yea jus like the september 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. the 19 men were hiding in planes instead of coming out and fighting like men. heartless, uncaring, disrespectful bastards!
@balletgirl21100 And what could they have done? Bayoneted a kamikaze plane as it flew over and dropped bombs on them? Why don't you brush up on your history, and show a little respect. YOU'RE the heartless, uncaring, disrespectful one.
@griefbacon I LIVE IN AMERICA AND I LOVE AND CARE FOR MY COUNTRY AND PEOPLE. I KNOW MY PLACE, IT IS TIME THAT U LEARNED NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS. I CARE ABOUT EVERYONE
@voice940.. Hey douche. The Japs attacked Pearl Harbor without declaring war. I am THRILLED that USA dropped two atomic bombs on the pukes in 1945. Their puny needle dick emperor wasn't a god either.
I daily remind Japs about Pearl Harbor and how the USA won World War 2.
@TakeAShowerStinky Typical American rubbish. The only reason why you act in this way is that you know you can smash anyone else. Remember that you have to stay on top though...
@DarwinsFriend I am guessing you are not an American. Sure. We know the US saved us in 1942. We also know the English ran out on us, even though we saved the English in 1940-1941. I am objecting to the American attitude now towards Japanese people, not the guys in 1942, like the heroes of the Lady Lex, whom no Kiwi will ever forget.
@OccupyLink Ah - I see. So because I subscribe to the Theory of Evolution, which Charles Darwin had some slight role in, and appreciate the labor the man put into that science - that means I could have never been born in Los Angeles, California in 1931? WTF?
70 years ago today. 3000 US Sailors and Airmen were murdered in cold blood by their own government on the orders of Franklin Roosevelt in an act of treachery unlike any other.
Remembering the brave men who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor. Support also for the surviving vets and ther families. Best wishes from me and the whole Occupy Movement worldwide.
Since Roosevelt knew first hand before 7 Dec.41, that an attack was planned to take place on His watch and failed to stop it, events like it will always happen again.
Its from Pres. Roosevelt's own writings that we now know that he wanted to have the attack go through to start WW2.
He allowed all those men to be sacrificed so war could be used as the last resort, He will be judged by GOD for the crime.
He then lied to everyone with his claims that it was a total surprise attack by the Japanese.

IS0iOS 2 months ago
@IS0iOS Who said that? It wasn’t Charles Darwin. The Theory of Evolution doesn’t state that. So from what Creationist website are you regurgitating that from?
BTW – you’re not expressing something that hasn’t been said by a thousand Christers – including my dear friend Kent Hovind. From federal prison – right now.
So come up with something original to dazzle this 80-year-old man, eh?

Everyone this is the 1011th anniversary of the Battle of Svolder in Norway. Let's take a moment to salute those fallen and forgotten names.
Silly, ain't it? No one gives a shit about the Battle of Svolder, and no one will give a shit about Pearl Harbor. War is forgotten as quickly as those who remember it perish - we are doomed to an eternal cycle of war and strife. It was true 1000 years ago, it will be true 1000 years from now. Only technology will free us, not these bullshit ceremonies.
Water4Jeremiah 2 months ago
@Water4Jeremiah meh technology will not save us. At the continued rate of technological advance technology is fast outgrowing our morals. therefore humanity will be the doom of us all. Plus these ceremonies are here to remind us of the events so hopefully we ill not repeat this action again.
dodapants 2 months ago
@dodapants ...At the continued rate of technological advance technology is fast outgrowing our morals...
The same was said in 1552 with the advent of the early modern four-wheeled ballista (where the term ballistic originated) drawn by armored horses - which was a massive crossbow.
DarwinsFriend 2 months ago
@Water4Jeremiah Pearl Harbor is about US. You don't see Americans commemorating battles that have nothing to do with the U.S. whether they happened 10 years ago or a 1000 years ago. Furthermore, WWII veterans are STILL ALIVE. Pearl Harbor might not matter as much once it's centuries past, but for now it's still close to home and it doesn't hurt to show our vets some respect. It doesn't matter if no one a thousand years from now will care, because we live NOW and not later.

SugarTomAppleRoger 2 months ago
People who dont know the facts of this history please be quiet... You should have learned that USA stopped trading with Japan due to their expansion into other nations for reason of "living space" and raw materials. We knew an attack would come, but we werent sure where. And as for the atom bombs, after the Potsdam Conference, Japan had the choice to surrender, but they didnt, which meant, either invasion = a lot of lives lost both sides, or atom bomb with less lives lost, take your pick.

you(Americans) are not a solider who dropped an atomic bomb in Hiroshima on Aug 9 1945.So I don't blame you for dropping an atomic bomb.
I think all we have to do is to know what we have done and to reflect on our serious mistake not to make an such mistake again.

Water4Jeremiah 2 months ago
@inkouzuraman It was more complicated than that. Japan was pretty much forced into war with the US. After all it was being blockaded. The whole business was nasty. As for serious mistakes, it is wise to build up economic strength and avoid conflict. That is what China is doing now, and what Germany and Japan didn't do. I think they will survive OK if they continue on that safe path.

SuperYT4Ever 2 months ago
@jacksrumgone because to some extent, it was. You need to do some research. It's not a new concept - it's been considered since December of '41. This does NOT take away from the heroism that American's showed during and after the attack.
