Yes if u have combat in the mid and high 30s u can beat it. Elvarg is really weak. I killed him at lvl 47 yet I can't kill a green drag at lvl 65. Green drags are lvl 76 and elvarg at 88. Don't be scared of it. Bring best armour u have and full inv of lobbys or swordies and its a guarenteed win

with my first char i went to fight him at lvl 60 rofl it was a easy fight cuz i almost didnt take damage(VERY LUCKY i guess)

You should be fine as long as you're always prepared to eat something in case of hard hits. If your Attack is high enough to land hits, then try it.

that's not true. you can wear any rune stuff at 40 defence, but u must finish this quest to wear the plate. however u can still wear rune helms, legs, skirts, shields, and the rune chainbody, just not the plate.

Just use the anti-dragon shield to block off most of the damage. That and some food will do the job.
