Unfortunately we will never know if Ayrton would have won more championships, and if Michael would have been less successful. Both Ayrton and Michael earned their victories. Michael has said many times that Ayrton was the best ever, and Ayrton said when he was still alive, that Michael was very good and would be successful. (I have a pic of him driving his own one from Estoril circuit, so he did indeed have & driive one). Awesome to watch, even in a road car. Actually every pilot knows that :P Why crossing your arms ? Simple- on a track, u rarely spin the steering wheel more than half a spin and usually a spin is followed by another spin non-wise the previous to correct the car. Always correcting the trace and fighting G-forces.

Maybe back in the days drivers weren't taught to sit close to the wheel... but just imagine having a crash when your legs are almost fully stretched to press the brake and clutch...
