Ergh... I'm loving the rebuild so far, but I dislike the 3D work in the show, especially since Evangelion had some really good artwork going for it originally. It just feels cheap.

It must be a billion times easier to use 3D graphics than draw it all out... But still... It's only 4 movies and for a series that brought in SO much money for Gainax, it just seems like they're half-assing it. =(

Anyway, great trailer and thanks for the translation. Can't wait for 2.0 to be subbed!

3-D work can be just as tedious and time consuming as 2-D work, and the results could be just as great. Although, in Evangelion's case, all 2-D looks much better, in my opinion.

right! cause it takes only one draw for the 3D graphics once created they can do whatever they want to with but instead they need a lot of conbine drawning to make a 2D animation which means much more time, work and of course money

Unfortunately... it looks like a 4 legged spider... Mari's eva is apparently a "Provisional" Type... meaning it's a support unit or mobile weapons platform... I dunno the exact details yet... Her plugsuit is cool though. She just looks more cute, more beautiful and more hot each day that passes... WAAHHH!!! I wanna watch it already!

I was worried when I heard FUNi was dubbing EVA but It's a good thing they got the old VA's to make a come back. My only worry now is weather or not they make decent Boxart for the Eva DVD's. FUNi tends to only make thin card board cases for there DVD's and no good boxart... My Ouran high and one Piece DVD's look so naked.....

lulz, it seems that everyone always sees evangelion when they're too young too understand the series then u have to go back and watch it over and over again to understand it, i heard about it in the 20 or 10 year anniversary edition of anime insider, i read it and i was like, that's the shiznitz!!!!!!!!!!!! and now i saved up money for a few months and i have the platinum edition, i'll probably slough high school to see rebuild and i can say that i liked evangelion before it was cool!!

They cudnt get the whole cast for that, and had to add their own o.t.t little jokes to the script, they shouldnt have been allowed that much control.

heavens forbid any of the english voices returning to dub. its one of the few dubs ive ever heard that was litterarily painfull and forced me to "run" away from there.

Fortunately i bought the Italian/japanese version, prolly the best dubbers in the world and they actually got every single voice from the original, down to the little background ones, like the subway announcer ^^

Funimation licensed Rebuild. Most of the original VAs are affiliated specifically with ADV, so I suspect they'll get a largely new cast. They make some very good dubs these days, though.
