why do people think being soft on the players will help them win? take last weeks loss to bama for instance.. in that game state had plenty of dropped balls and plays missed that could've changed the scape of the game.. yet we ended it in another defeat with the same old "we didn't make the play" mentality preventing an upset.

Toby Gerhart should have won the heisman but he didn't play for bama. Mark Ingram has two more chances to win it. Anthony Dixon of MSU played in only 11 games in 09 and had a slightly tougher reg season sched. But because he played for MSU, he wasn't even considered. Ingram is very good but the overall decision was politically biased.

As a Tennessee fan, I got nothing for respect for Miss State. State has had some quality wins and games in the past few years. They gave UT a tough tough road to the National title in 98. They've always played hard and had great defense. They can and will be a dangerous team in the years to come. My brother went to State and I went to a few games with him, and State fans are some of the better fan's that I've met in the SEC.
