  • I can't believe that I've never heard this song by Dusty, with this amount of presence in tow. It's immediately infectious yet it never gets tiring to hear the phrase as many times as it is actually repeated. What a great tune, thanks for sharing it!

  • For me there are two white soul voices of the 60s. Dusty Springfield and Steve Mariott. Incomparable.

  • @GaragePunkSkanker dont forget stevie winwood.

  • For me there are two white soul voices of the 60s. Dusty Springfield and Steve Mariott. Incomparable.

  • I love the way she moves

  • Great performer!!!

  • God, I just loved Dusty - her songs can move you to tears - sang like a Black Woman - cried when she died - always in my thoughts.

  • The tune is not strong but it is a catchy little ditty. What makes it great is that amazing voice

  • This was on her "you don't have to say you love me" Lp back in '66,'67, I always wondered why it wasn't put out as an A side here in the U.S. Really Strong Tune. Thanks for the Post.

  • ANYONE WHO LIVES IN SOUTH EAST QLD READ THIS!!!

There is a musical production of Dusty Springfield on at Beenleigh theatre group.

It is a fabulous show, my mum is in it, and I think it's is the most brilliant show I have ever seen.

It features over 40 of her best hit songs and it is ehr life story. Amazing.

Tia Wilke plays dusty and she is a fabulous singer.

Go see it, it really is worth it if you are a dusty fan.

It also featurres some songs by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.

    Go see the show

  • love the lyrics...and the horns...fab

  • This is great of course. BTW do you know that your 'work' has been 'stolen' by user ALANSCOO1

  • WOW this song is amazing!

  • WOW this song is amazing!

  • This must be from Oz as Brian Henderson from the channel 9 show (Australian Bandstand) is introducing Dusty. I still get a bit choked up when I see her. I've read here and there she had, like so many, self esteem issues. Dusty you were so beautiful and talented, you are missed by so many and will never be forgotten. RIP angel.

  • the rhodes piano & the horn section <3

  • Makes Marge Simpson's hair a bit flat...lol

  • They should still have music like this today !

  • Fantastic!

  • THE WORLDS GREATEST FEMALE SINGER

  • @gazzah54 Dusty says "no"

  • @gazzah54 Nah just one of many good ones.

  • This woman has the best voice ever. A legend. Talent in the true sense of the word. No one even comes close.

  • Fantasic , recorded in sydney Australia in 1965/66, on Bandstand , does anybody know what CD has the flip side of all Cried Out/ a great song called i wish i'd never loved you

  • thank you for uploading this, its a song i heard a lot when i had my son,yet not on hardly any dusty springfield cd.

  • How about a song by Dusty called (I think) "Same old me?" Anybody know the one I'm referring to?

  • Brand New Me,,,,

  • I just adore her. And this song.

    Such a talented Artist.

  • Her best song by so far. It just steals my heart and soul. Could be the connection with adolescent memories of high school infatuation with the school teacher who lived next door and occasionally drove me to school. Why didn't I tell her I had a crush on her.

Dusty thought "You don't have to say you love me" was melodramatic and was amazed when it charted so high.

  • Classic Dusty, Classic moves by Dusty..Go Dusty!! Miss you so much!

I just want to add I think it's so great that young people are learning to love too! *)*

  • I mean love "Dusty" too!

  • with alittle help from amy, adele and especially duffy ^_^

aqlthough i think their all different in style,

  • I'm not sure what you are saying..are you saying you are inspired to like Dusty because of these other singers? *)*

  • yes that is what I mean,

thanks to them I got really curious where they got inspiration from and started to listen the older groups (dusty, creedence clearwater revival etc. )

  • Except none of those lame broads you mention could hold a candle to Dusty

  • they are all very talented and mostly very different to her, they all say she is a legend and get a whole new generation of people to listen to her music!

i think their doing a great job!, and i'm certainly not saying their better than dusty xD i do think they come very close though!

  • I didnt know that dusty was a mod in 60s

  • What??

  • she was called "Queen of the Mods"!

  • i just got the best of, i'm so glad i found it! i'm just hearing them for the first few times.. i'm 19 so only knew son of a preacher was by her! =P

  • where did you buy it? im 19 too! =)

  • To garfreeek Do you have Best of or Ultimate Collection? I'm just wondering in comparison. Thanks! *)*

  • going back, the very best of dusty = )

what songs am i missing? =D

  • I don't know.. I don't have The Very Best of Dusty..I only have Ultimate Collection..I guess I was hoping to find out what I may be missing too. My CD has 20 songs begining with "Silver Threads And Golden Needles" in 1962 up to the song "What Have I Done To Deserve This?" in 1987Hope this helps. *)*

  • This is my favorite song of Dusty's. The girl I was seeing back then used to sing this all the time and I've been looking for it on here quite a while. Thank you, it brings back a lot of memories.

  • Thank you DustyGS....AbFab!!!!!

  • Wow never seen footage of her performing this one! Thanks for posting.

Where have the ghostly backing vocals that are on the 45rpm gone? Little by Little By Little "OOOOOoooohh"
