  • can i move in with you?

  • great idea i had some of the cheese ooze out but i tried and double coated the cheese in flour egg then flour and egg again then the breadcrumb and it seemed to have come out better at least for me

  • How do you tell if the oil is hot enough if you do not own a thermometer??

  • @junkabuttafli05 Just put a little of the coating in the heated oil and see if it sizzles.

    --Betty :)

  • i thought the thumbnail was a painting of a sun

  • Do i have to use peanut oil cause i dnt hav that were i live

  • @lionfire98 No, you may use another oil.

    --Betty :)

  • I like the flavor of peanut oil, but its far to expensive.

  • Betty you are the cutest !

  • These look yummy thank you..one thing freeze your cheese sticks for better results:-)..

  • Im trying this tonight with my velveeta cheese chilli dip mmmm thank you!

  • lol everytime you say your gunna try a peice for us i get so hungry :)

  • They look delicious and I bet they smell phenomenal. I bet if you had put them in the refrigerator or freeze for about 30min-1hour, after coating them, they would have been a bit more stable. A little tip, after you flour them and dip them in the egg mixture then coat with bread crumbs you can put them in the egg mixture again then coat them again with the bread crumbs (in short double coating them in egg and bread crumbs). This helps make a more stable shell. :D

  • betty better stay in the kithcen

  • Theres a flood in my city. due to my drool

  • yeah looks good i made them before with cut up string cheese and it happened to me the little leaking and crusting up of the cheese it taste good lol:)

  • i cant wait to try this, how ever i was wondering if instead of frying them if i coulld bake them and have them turn out the same or at least something very close?

    please and thank you

  • @dmenez1 Yes, you may bake then. I would spray the baking pan and the tops of the cheese sticks with cooking oil spray.

    --Betty :)

  • did you burn your finger? 8:30 it looks like your index finger got burnt

  • @bravoameliabedelia I haven't had any significant burns anywhere, and I don't recall burning my index finger at all. It may have been the lighting.

    --Betty :)

  • @bravoameliabedelia thats just the oil from the mozzarella sticks and some of the crumbs

  • I just finished my dinner and I'm soooooooo FULL....but watching those made me starving again...gotta try those!thanks betty for sharing something great :) yummy!

  • stoner food xD

  • Nice cooking videos Betty.

  • Deep-frying cheese. Marry Me

  • wat culd we use instead of the penut oil culd we use regular oil

  • @TheDumbass600 Regular oil is fine!

    --Betty :)

  • i am so hungry i wanna cry :( thislooks delicious ....

  • @ilovemystubbynails1 Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • for a second i thought she was using cheddar.. her camera is yellow

  • @MsLizoid You may use Cheddar cheese, but these are made of mozzarella cheese.

    --Betty :)

  • oh and instead of just frying them, give the oil a bit more heat, and just give them a quick dip in the oil, no more than a minute or two, then put them in the oven to bake for a while, itll be a tad healthier cuz of the lack of grease and easier to handle for ppl who might get heartburn easily

  • @rhino2960 That is great advice! Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • little tip betty, replace those bread crumbs with crushed old dutch jalepeno chips and the mozza with monterray jack, dusted with a touch of cayenne chili powder

  • @rhino2960 Sounds wonderful!

    --Betty :)

  • can i use quickmelt cheese?

  • @TheAngelofenix I have never tried that, but I think you should be able to use any cheese if you will freeze the coated cheese sticks before frying.

    --Betty :)

  • Wow, thanks for reply, thank you very much, I will tell you the best result that I after cook this dish. you are very kind as the video clip you has perform ;)

  • @LEMESAHLAM Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Hi Betty, I'm a young man, name Lam and came from Malaysia and I very intersted in western food. My English was bad, but I'm trying to type, because I want to ask you question. I saw you Mozzarella cheese sticks the cheese is coming out after fried. Is because not enough flour when dipping? If I change the step you were teach us 1,2,3 to 2,1,2,3 Will it better? :)

  • @LEMESAHLAM The cheese was coming out the end, because I did not get the sticks cold enough. You should actually freeze the coated mozzarella sticks, and then when you fry them. they will get brown before the cheese melts. Thanks for a great question!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Although you weren't directing this comment to me I have to say that freezing them beforehand is a great tip! I'm going to make these today, thanks! :~)

  • @danucal1984 Mine do much better after being frozen! I hope you enjoy them!

    --Betty :)

  • what if i do not have a block of cheese

  • @nerf1231000 You have to have mozzarella cheese for this snack. You can either buy a block and cut it in strips, or by it already sliced into strips.

    --Betty :)

  • @nerf1231000 You can find sticks of mozzerella sold in packs at the supermarket. Look for Polly-O and other brands in the cheese section.

  • yummy:)

  • @MrArchyL Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • yummy

  • Frying cheese isn't a no no... Eating all the fried cheese is the real no no.. but I don't mind being bad when it tastes good! Betty how is it that you do all the cooking and we gain all the weight?

  • @Gunny529D I only eat small portions. Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Great video I always wanted to try this recipe.

  • @SharitaTv Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I'm literally drooling over this so yummy!

  • @hamoodicool3 I hope you enjoy this recipe. For best results, have the breaded mozzarella *very* cold when you put it into the hot oil, so it will brown before the cheese melts!

    --Betty :)

  • NOM NOM NOM <3 :D

  • @joshmcgovern135 Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • thanks for the recipe Betty i made them earlier and they were awesome then i seen i had alot of onions so i used the same recipe for onion rings and there awesome too

  • @jezus92191 Thanks for your great feedback! Yes, this coating would be good with onions, too!

    --Betty :)

  • do you need bread crummes

  • @misscupcake111 You need a crust. It does not have to be breadcrumbs; you could use cracker crumbs, for example.

    --Betty :)

  • Is it a must to mix the bread crumbs with garlic salt ?

  • @MrJustsze No, garlic salt may be omitted if you don't have it.

    --Betty :)

  • is it ok to use milk insted of water, or do u have to use water?

  • @everybodyluvssabbath milk is fine.

    --Betty :)

  • do we have to have cornmeal?

  • @misscupcake111 No, you may use fine, dry breadcrumbs, panko bread crumbs, or just flour.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen So, all together, are the ingredients cheaper than say, restaurant Mozza Sticks?

  • @TheTwilightGleam Yes, where I live you can buy a block of mozzarella cheese very cheaply, and I save the oil and re-use it.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Awesome :D Have you got a video of Home-Made Pizza?

  • @TheTwilightGleam No, I haven't done that yet. I will plan to do that sometime.

    --Betty :)

  • could cornmeal be used instead?

  • @mandahsrandomaccount Cornmeal may be used as the outer coating, but you should still use the flour and egg before coating with cornmeal.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen thank you betty :)

  • @mandahsrandomaccount You're welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen can you use self rising flour?

  • @hollyannewesley Yes, it doesn't matter at all in this particular recipe whether you use plain or self-rising flour.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen AWW Thanks for responding you've made my day!!!!! (-;

  • your cooking on peanut oil, sunflower oil too does good?

  • @26appy Yes, sunflower oil is fine.

    --Betty :)

  • Betty, Before you start cooking, can you tell us all the ingredients needed! Thank You:)

  • @iJuicy24 I might try that. You can just click "show more" and see all of the ingredients typed out.

    --Betty :)

  • Hi Betty! i tried this and while i fried them , some of the mozzerella sticks broke apart and the cheese got out!!!!!! but most of them turned out great thankyou for the wonderful recipe!!!

  • @Summergirl225 You're welcome for the recipe. My best tip for this recipe is to have the coated cheese sticks very cold (frozen), so the outside will brown before the cheese inside melts.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen I tried the recipe and it's HOWLERRIFFIC!!!!!!! Thanks for the recipe!!!! P.S. the reason why I said howlerriffic was because I'm a werewolf!!!!!!!!! I WILL SUBSCRIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @clad11now Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Can you use Panko breadcrumbs?

  • @thejawa01 Yes, those would be great!

    --Betty :)

  • I just tried these and they where amazing!... some things i did a little differently is that i used "string cheese" instead of cutting a cheese block, i used whole wheat flour ( because thats the only kind i had left) and i added 1/4 cup of water to the beaten egg.. after adding the coat i put them in the refrigerator for about an hour before frying them, i also used less oil than she did , and i used vegetable oil instead of peanut oil,. and as i said before, the sticks were great, thanx betty!!

  • @B1GB0iii Thanks for your wonderful feedback! All of the changes you made are great!

    --Betty :)

  • How do you make your own bread crumbs Betty? i would love to use some that I made my self =)

  • @r1cky8807 You can put slices of bread on a tray in the oven at a very low heat and toast them until they are very dry. Then put them in a food processor to get crumbs.

    --Betty :)

  • Hun, you seriously need to open up your own Restorant .

  • @bumbleberry77 I would love having my own restaurant, but I think I like YouTube better!

    --Betty :)

  • I think you should! I know I can't get my food to taste as good as yours.

  • @bumbleberry77 You're sweet...

    --Betty :)

  • Great video ! I wanted to know are there any other alternative oils to Peanut Oil for frying the Mozzarella Sticks ? Thanks

  • @venkstaar Yes, you may use any vegetable oil that you like. Just be aware that some oils (like olive oil) will smoke when you heat them this hot.

    --Betty :)

  • do you know how to make them able to stretch really long when you bite into it?

  • @patentleatherones If you serve them warm, they will have a tendency to string like that.

    --Betty :)

  • wow ur awesome !! =D i been looking to make these and ur the only one who actually explains it !

  • @andromeda110591 Thanks for your lovely comment!

  • Wow. I've never thought about making these at home. After seeing you make them, I don't know if I can eat them at the drive thru again!

  • WOW!! Thank you so much for making this video! Mozerella sticks are my favourite food and I'm just learning how to cooking; preparing for my future culinary career. I can really impress my friends with these because they love mozerella sticks too! :D I cannot thank you enough!

  • can i use japanese Panko bread crumbs instead? its crunchier wen fried

  • can i use japanese bread crumbs instead? its crunchier when fried

  • @mybungholehurts yes, that would be nice.

    --Betty :)

  • Thank you, Betty. Just Subscribed

  • I tried this out, but although the sticks turned out good, it was not at all a good job, because with a deep-fryer, it made a mess inside. You know, the machine that comes with a frying basket for draining oil out. I promise never to fry anything meltable in that machine again. In fact, I'll only use it for fried potatoes.

  • How many slices of sandwich bread will make 3/4 cup crumbs?

  • try "pizza" mozzarella

  • My dad bought me a new deep fryer, since he doesn't want me frying stuff on the stove anymore.

  • Is there a way of keeping them warm if they can't be served immediately, like keeping in a warm oven?

  • @KBAFourthtime It will be tricky keeping these warm. You might heat your oven to a low heat and then turn it off and leave these for a limited amount of time--but I would certainly check on them occasionally.
