This video just proves how truly insecure Salah is as a dancer. As soon as his dance skills are tested by a real dancer he resorts to gimmicks like standing on chairs, singing along with the song, and TALK INTO HIS OWN SHOE!
Salah is first and foremost a performer not a dancer, I'm glad he has his own show, as long it keeps him out of the way of real dancers who want to battle and not try to please the audience.

Props to Salah for doing his thing and being honest about his intentions, on the other hand I hope I live to see the day when audiences composed of supposed dancers aren't intoxicated with his tricks and treats.
There are two schools of thought you are describing: animation versus boogaloo/funk styles. Mike Watson/Salah use plently of animation and musicality in their styles, whereas Legend and Gucchon use funk styles and boogaloo. It all depends on what someone prefers.
Oh and I almost forgot, Guchon is the future of Popping...In my perfect world this video would be proof of the Popping Enlightenment the turning over a cosmetic style (salah) for a richer more subtle style (guchon) similar to Legend verses Mike Watson.
Salah is also a good locker and breaker besides popping. I've also seen him even do some house and waacking as well. He's really good at all of them. Salah means something like "all things good". That's a rough translation. Anyway both dancers are talented. Every dancer has bad days. They can be dope one day and suck the next, and that goes for all dancers. Also gotta say there is nothing wrong with entertaining the crowd while battling your opponent. Might as well make it look good, IMHO.
