Your Portuguese wans't bad. :)

The Brazilian Portuguese is easier to pronounce for non-portuguese speakers.

The European Portuguese (my language) is much harder to get the accent.

We have a very closed accent and our sounds sound very closed, so is hard for Spanish spkears to understand.

They understand much better the Brazilian accent.

But it wans't bad! It was good! ;)
