The area I am working is hill country which didn't come into it's own until the industrial revolution with woolen mills in every valley ... there are Roman connections but I haven't work that area yet ... I intend to later on this year ... when the spirit takes me .. LOL .. might even get a hoard ... quick .. duck .. or is that a flying pig ...LOL

hi ged what do you think of the garrett ace 250 as i am buying one ive got at min a fisher 1265-x i went metal detecting and got £3.05 LOL but i hope the garrett ace 250 gets me the money back in 3 months for what i have payd for it lol

Hi Ged. I cant link you from You tube, but you Special Buckel is a Reversed Tongue one. Your seems to be not as old as it should have been - Roman, to 13-14 cent.. Yours seems later, but teknologi was same. Google Buckles with reversed Tongue and you get them.
HH.. PS. You handel I think as many is a trigger cover form a Vict pocket gun..

Hi Ged what a day you had very nice finds, and you said it was going to snow lol well I went out today found two Victorian and 3 pound coins which I always put in a jar to save up, I am going out tomorrow to the place were I found them two roman so wish me luck chat soon.

They were used by victorian Ladies in the same way to stop their long dresses blowing about. Several of them would have been stiched around the dress hem.
