4:58 . Honestly the truest thing I've heard. It highlights the most basic reasons that alone should be enough to legitimize Israel. How there are so many people that are too blind to see that is beyond me. I don't know if they are unaware, or just don't believe it...but it just breaks my heart.
The reason that this is relevant to the next election is that we actually depend on Israel to help us in the Middle East. This isn't pandering-this is how we will eventually defeat terrorists!
National leaders need to respect mutual security and human rights. They don't need to send Valentine's Day messages. This shows an appalling conflation of domestic electoral politics with what should be a US foreign policy founded on US interests.
I like Barack, and I hope he is reelected, but this is a painfully obvious attempt to please that certain share of the U.S. population that are extremely supportive of Israel. I frankly don't see how it should be relevant to his presidential campaign, or why anyone would vote for him on those grounds.
@ChrillePHW Because Israel is part of the western world, and the most attacked western country. It needs support because a lot of people in civilized nations, especially in europe, do not support Israel. Republicans have critized Obama on Israel so it absolutely is relevant. Even in the USA there's a large minority that refers to Israel as a nazi state and other conspiracy nonsense (i.e. Ron Paul supporters).

Obama is pro-Israel, and no one can deny it. This Florida Jew will be proud to vote for him for a second term!

Thank you President Obama for being a strong friend of Israel. Such a relief, afterhis predecessor's anti-Israel rhetoric and actions.
