Did you know that alot of birds including a blue fronted amazon bob their head as a sign of possesion, in other words, your parrot totally thinks he owns you, lol and you thought you were his owner.. I like this video because my blue fronted parrot "Kiwi" does the same with me, expecially when I bring her for walks, she is on a bird harness of course, I could never bring myself to clipping her wings.. beautiful parrot though he seems to be happy with you as his friend!!
You have a very cute parrot! :) I just got a 3-month old parrot today, and he seems very scared of me. He is surprisingly very quiet..and really likes his cage. When I take him out to pet him, he sometimes "flies" to the cage and climb back up. Do you know if I should just leave him alone? Or is this a sign that he just doesn't like me? Any tips? Thanks! :)
you just keep being nice to him. if he did not like you for whatever reason you would soon know about it. keep telling him how good he is . give him a treat every time hes good , but do tell him its a treat.
I agree, if your bird gets mad one day at you..good luck catching it..ALSO if they fly into a window or a fan etc...its better for their wings to be clipped..seriously!
I work at a pet store and I know a lot about animals.
chirpy gets mad with me often, lol ,maybe i spend to much time with him.
but im not into disabling him .
for two summers now he has sat on top of his cage in the garden at the end of the a nice day. when hes ready he flys to me and then i take him in. he knows whos boss and where hes wanted, thanks for the advise though.

This is why I always strongly recommend against tame woodpeckers as head sitting pets. ;)

My Uncape loves to be on my head -- then she swings down on my hair like Tarzan and throws my glasses off my face! It is hilarious!

that was cute lol, my macaw does that but on my ear :p
you should clip the wings though, you could leave a window or door open and woooosh it would fly out :( and it doesn't hurt them either :D

barrymorri just to let you know, your parrot is the boss of you...When you allow a parrot to go higher then you..its the boss..you let it win..

dont let him get on your head. if his eyes are above yours he thinks he in control.

You do realize that the best exercise a bird can get is flying right

Great video of a beautiful bird, but the "back story" of the cat eating dinner on the stove is hilarious! I love this video.
