No, you more than likely didn't ruin your IP. You have to setup the connection in the XMB menu, and then it'll allow you to connect. If that doesn't work, make sure everything on your router is okay. If you don't HAVE a wireless router, then you're going to need it to get onto the internet.

My friend's dad bought me NFS Carbon and it lets me update to 2.71; which I quickly did. After updating it, I seem to can't go online on my PSP anymore. Like while it connects to a wifi hot spot, the wifi led turns on when it says connecting, then turns off before saying obtaining ip...so is it the update problem or did I f*** my PSP's wifi? PLEASE HELP.
