  • Thanks for the review. I'm actually headed out in about an hour to go pick one up from my local dealership. This review wasn't the reason I got the car (truth be told the Elantra found me I didn't find it lol) but it helped me reaffirm my decision to get one. Which is greatly helpful as I'm nervous as heck seeing as how this is my very first BRAND NEW car.

    Thanks again from Canada.

  • how much do these run for?

  • @DeXCarDoNa

  • @mgsrocks1 To be honest, I dont recommend other color interiors because they look cheap like other compact cars. Black interior looks good. Even though it is hot here in Utah summer, I like black interior. I dont like black exterior. Gay/black interior looks so good.

  • I love this car. Hope i can afford this one day!

  • Mine is a limited silver/ black inside. I like my car, but the audio sound is not good enough.

  • @soohyunjeong How does the dark leather look? I was thinking of buying a black limited with light interior. I was thinking it might get tiring to look at you know? How do you see it?

  • honda elantra? why can't you pronounce HYEONDAE elantra ?!?!?

  • I think the issue that most people are having is that the car gets about 20 mpg in town vs hyundia/epa claim of 29. That is the issue that my 2011 has.

  • excelente auto

  • At 55 to 60 mph this car gets around 42 MPG. I had one as a loaner and considering buying one.

  • This guy IS annoying. So hard to please!

  • You're not getting 40 mpg in a cold climate with winter grade gas. Ever.

  • What did he mean by *bleep* eating grin? (0:44)

  • @PreYeah1 Sh!t eating grin.

  • IS IT JUST ME, OR THIS GUY IS FUCKING ANNOYING???

  • @IKOR72 I think it's you

  • @IKOR72 sigoura enai

  • @IKOR72 just you. He has done a great review and in any case if you dont like it, dont watch :)

  • In Brazil this car costs $ 41,000 manual transmission.

The top model in Brazil costs $ 48,000

    Taxes absurd!

    Thank your country!

  • @robinhucars DON'T JUST COMPLAIN, ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH UR PEOPLE, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN AND DON'T DO SHIT....U GOTTA WALK THE TALK...

  • that's a hot car

  • Hyundai is awesome!

  • Can you fold the back seats down?

  • @virozir I honestly don't remember, but I believe so.

  • @virozir Yes you can, the rear seats are typical 60/40 style and the release levers are located in the trunk and easy to get to.

  • @virozir yes you can

  • when it comes to Brazil elantra

  • este carrito le gusta a mi amor y sera suyo aunque me quede misia jajaj como q me llamo elena!! me gustaria en rojito...esta bonito...este seraaaa mi amorrrrr..

  • 3:56 >> was that a fart .. then oops , sorry about that ?? !!

  • @semouse89 That was the camera hitting the steering wheel IIRC

  • @rumblestripradio Its a great video .. thanks for it ..

  • The elantra its around 38 mpg, civic aroun 26 cruze 32 and focus 32.

  • is this gls or glx or what i should ask about if i want to buy this model?

  • @ahmedfoster22 Limited

  • The avg. MPG's the 2011 gets is only around 30.5. Look it up on fuelly. The new Civic is getting an avg. of 35.5. Cruze gets 32.2, Focus gets 32.3.

  • The Elantra coup secret photos are on the net already

  • @rumblestripradio Hi man, just ask you do i have a question? your new hyundai elentra GLS or Limited?

  • @iMeboTube This was a review car, I do not own it. It was a Limited.

  • @rumblestripradio oh i got it thanks. nice car in front and back design than honda civic sedan 2011-12. hyundai elentra 2011 and honda civic 2006-2010 better. ;)

  • how does this car drive with a manual transmission??

  • @MooseheadDrinker Couldn't say, haven't had a chance to drive the manual.

  • @rumblestripradio ok.

any idea if hyundai will make a 2 door version of the elantra?

  • @MooseheadDrinker none that I've heard of. There isn't much of a market for two doors, so they wouldn't go through the high cost of engineering a two door just to sell another 5-10K units.

  • @MooseheadDrinker Yes, They will. Should be out by end of the year

  • I know right..

  • Very nice car!!

  • The wind noise gets the best of this car review.

  • Ομορφο σχεδιαστικά αυτοκινητο!

  • OMG the whole thing is out of focus!!!

  • i got this car as a rental it was very fun to drive and was actually surprise on the horsepower that this 4 banger has, even loaded with 4 big men with the autostick ( i drive a charger). it was great on gas and I can feel every bump on the road. I would buy it as a commuter at the right price 18,000 for a hyundai I'm not sold. 15000 yes.

  • That Car Is A Joke .

  • look up the real world numbers. ha ha ha. then you will get about 31. my corolla gets real world 35.5.

  • tofast had the limited for 2 months and can say that the car is both good+bad. good: the sunroof, fold down rear seat leading into the HUGE trunk, the auto down/auto up for driver side window and love the heated seats. it only gets 40+ mpg if you are driving flat or decline no more than 65/70 mph, slightest incline and it drops below 32 mpg, (i avg ~25) cup holders on the doors are useless, a lot of the car feels cheap, speakers are junk and the int road noise is louder than my 5.4L F150.

  • I am looking to get one of these and here is my question. Is the screen capable of importing CD's into it for storing music or does it not have that option?

  • @Cory72591 I'm going off the top of my head but I don't think it has a hard drive for audio. I would check the Hyundai website.

  • @rumblestripradio Yeah, I'm really interested in having a radio with a hard drive and USB as well as the ability to preview song lists with text. My son's Dodge Caravan has all these features.

  • @Cory72591 Doesn't have, at least my 2012.

  • Hyundai is really making great cars now, they came out of nowhere.

  • @vargusalex to me they didnt come out of nowhere people should have expected them to have great cars. specially the equus sonata genesis sedan and coupe and now veloster

  • @pattycarljackson I think we both would agree that many people didnt look at Hyundai as they do now and the Genesis sedan was the car that really made people look at Hyundai in a totally different light, it did to me when I saw it for the first time at the Philadelphia Auto Show.

  • Another retard that prefers his fucken soft touch dashboard like if its the only thing people are going to notice on a car! :( all douche bags who complain too much for soft touch materials are just plain stupid!!

  • Goddamn. If it was that cold I'd drive faster than 80 to get somewhere warm.

It would definitely be south too .

  • Hyuandai has really stepped up, I think I actually like it better than a Fiesta, Corolla, or Civic.

  • Just because you have "access" to a new car, doesn't mean you should do a review. Wow, this was pretty bad in terms of production, what the reviewer said, and just overall professionalism. "unlike"

  • Do you know Hyundai will release a premium small size car for competing with BMW3, Lexus IS, Audi A4? I saw the Korean new.

  • see, hears the funny thing, unlike the korean models, eco mode in the US 2011 elantra doesnt actually do.... anything, its merely an indicator to tell you when you're driving efficiently. so saying that you are getting a different response is purely a placebo effect and quite amusing considering your conviction that it drastically changed the car's handling. now, US 2012's supposedly will come standard w/ ACTIVE Eco that does do something, but not the 2011's.

  • Good lord people invest in some wind baffles for your mics. I could barely hear you when you went around the back of the car with the wind.

  • "nice" is a horrible adjective when describing a car... just sayin

  • Esse astro vai dar muito trabalho aos Corolla, Civic e Cruze ...Que venha com seu 1.816v de estimados 155hp's com alcool e 151 com gasosa...Vai botar muita gente grande no "chinelo"!!!

  • This car looks 10 times better in real

  • why don't these reviewers ever drive the speed limit. They always drive overly aggressively to prove the the EPA rating is wrong. I personally drive my cars with respect and I drive as efficiently as possible to save wear and tear and to save me money on gas. These guys drive like a bat out of hell, which is not the way most people who are paying thousands of dollars for a new car drives.

  • @FredEval71 Compared to most people around where I live, I drive conservatively.

  • @FredEval71 I agree with you 100%. I am the same way.

  • @FredEval71 he is in Michigan, the speed limit on the freeways is 70. He only went 5mph over.

  • Comment removed

  • The difference felt in the throttle in Eco mode was a placebo affect. In the Elantra the only thing the Eco mode does is activate the indicator light to indicate when you are driving in an economical manner.

  • Great review thanks

  • A cars optimum speed for EPA fuel economy is 60-65 MPH, anything over that and you loose a large amount of the cars efficiency since it is not running at efficient RPMs. I would try to test your cars like that next time. Plus 70 MPH is the speed limit on most interstates in Michigan.

  • @flatblackstrat My goal is not to get the highest mileage I can when I test cars, it's to try and drive it like it will be driven by the people who buy them, so that the numbers reflect what you get in the real world.

The Speed Limit may be 70, but no one drives that slow. Cops won't pull you over unless you are going over 80. Driving 70 in South East Michigan causes road rage around here.

  • @rumblestripradio Gotcha. But you also need to realize that most of your viewers will not be from Michigan hence 65 MPH will be the normal speed limit. I'm from Oakland county myself and realized a long time ago that Hyundais don't sell there. Even more so when the Waterford dealership shut down and turned into a Toyota dealership. I myself didn't even buy my Hyundai in Michigan, I bought it in TX wile living in OK. Just don't drive a car over the speed limit and expect it to meet EPA, it wont

  • true, however in the review you're all surprised that it doesnt get 40mpg while neglecting to mention the standards which the EPA uses to calculate those mpg estimates and that you pretty much purposely didn't drive anywhere near those standards. MPG estimates are easily attainable while driving normally. Driving over 60 mph and aggressive acceleration will destroy ANY car's real mpg vs. its rating. lets not be smug and attempt to assert that Hyundai is trying to pull something here.

  • Comment removed

  • @rumblestripradio I live in SE Michigan as well and I do not drive 80 mph in the highway...

Don't just assume everybody is driving 80 mph b/c you are driving 80 mph.

  • @mtigerkim hopefully you drive in the far right lane to let everyone else pass you by.

  • @srabchun Are you crazy!!!!The Elantra is beautiful and it's not slow.Next year it's getting a Tubo-

  • @grrgw6161 I never said it was slow. I have never driven one. I just don't like the way they look because the exterior is kinda to busy. I like the 2012 Focus Titanium sedan better. They are not as busy on the outside and really awesome on the inside. The whole voice command system on them is pretty bad ass. ;)

  • Hyundai is 'duh' winning! I can't wait to see KIA's rendition!

  • @bajabusta

Kia already has a new midsize sedan in the 2010 forte. I dont think they'll be changing it much for 2011.
