  • beep bop bop bop

  • woah, theres black machines in the background and theyre using an rg7321, does it even compare to a blackmachine?

  • Can you please tell me the bpms on that click.

  • 1:19 and 2:10 on sounds amazing!!!

  • SO. FUCKING. GOOD!

  • Que cagada que se escucha mal

  • How do you achieve such a tight sound Nolly, like where you're just chugging at the beginning? Do you use 2 noise gates?

  • Why use an RG7231 when there's a Blackmachine behind you?

  • you should leave the click track in there, sounds funky as balls

  • 1:25 the sonic epicness of it is making the camera shake

  • THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY

  • Flawless. Had my head bopping the whole time dude, props.

  • any news?

  • This song is the fucking tits. You guys need to release this already!

  • It's too dark so I can't tell. Is it a 7 string or 6? Sounds like a 7 in A

  • @dsl100stack It's the RG7321, it's a 7-string. :)

  • Petey's the man!! Love these guys! I rem when he did that Scent of The Obscene cover for school! been following him since!

  • nolly nails it in 2 tries, while the other guy demonstrates how every other guitarist on earth has to record

  • hey guys! im listneing to ur stuff on myspace right now and i think its AMAZING! keep it up im looking forward to more!

  • 2:14 sounded awesome!

  • Nolly and PeteyG kick major ass!

  • GOD DAMN IT NOLLY, IM RUNNING OUT CLEAN UNDERWEAR! DJENT-MADNESS! You are the shit : D i love you and your music! :DDDDDDDDDD

  • this is incredible guys

  • now this is some djent I can get into

the guitars and drums sound spot on

  • keep rocking man! ur awesome!

  • Are the Bareknuckle Nailbomb a passive pickup?

  • how similar is the 5150 sim on the axe fx?

does it sound the same as the 5150 or is it way off?

  • @StefanCornelius This video was done in January, the Dæmoness wasn't built until August!

We should hopefully have our 6-track mini-album out for sale by the beginning of next year

  • Sounds fantastic man, quick question though, are the Nailbomb and Cold Sweat pickups ceramic or alnico?

  • @apuforyou Both pickups are alnico in this case

  • @Nollythegreat Hey Nolly, mind sending me the effects your using on your ultra in this video?

Wouldnt mind messing around with it a bit on my axefx II ;)

  • you guys are amazing! cheers from canada!

  • Good boys.

  • I didn't know Gordon Freeman played in this band

  • Were there any effects or plugins (adjusting/changing the tone) during recording. I find it hard to believe that tone is straight direct recorded (read that as astonishment and not confrontational)

Also, how do you find the rg7321? I know it's no daemoness or blackmachine, but how is it on the whole?

  • when recording this groove, had the bass already been laid down, or was it just the guitar and drums at 0:25 (for example).

    it sounds soooo good.

also, what amp sim did you use?

  • @pinky5586 Nope, no bass on there at that point. We're using the 5150 model for the most part.

  • @Nollythegreat What tuning are you in sir?

  • Do you guys have a vocalist? If so, are there any clips anywhere of him singing?

  • @Nollythegreat What? lol. Nothing was in the response.

  • Nolly, your band is going to be the shit.

  • this sounds brutal. the last riff almost made me jizz

  • whenever i listen to that groove I feel a pulse that starts in my spine and manifests itself into uncontrollable head-banging

  • Hey Nolly great video! just out of curiosity, what interface are you running the direct fx into? if you dont mind telling me?

  • I think when Pete messes up with that rhythym arounf 1:29 ish, it actually sounds pretty stellar. Haha. Do work guys!

  • What tuning are you guys in, G#?

  • Even Nolly cannot escape the headbobs that come inevitably with a sexy groove.

  • What recording stuff did you use for this?

  • how is that ibanez with bareknuckles? i'm surprised at how popular the 7321s are becoming i figured you'd just have a black machine 7 so i'm pretty intrigued

  • yes. just "leave it as it is". It's brilliant. I will definitely buy your music and continue waiting for a time when you might have reason enough to come to Australia. Keep it up guys.

  • You look like an axe-wielding Gordon Freeman in this vid. Pretty badass.

  • DAT DJENT.

  • what are you recording with?! what program?!

  • Hey Nolly I just bought a new Ibanez RGA121 NTF, What Bareknuckles would you recommend. Stuff im into is Fusion like greg howe, Metal/pol-rhythmic like your stuff, animals vs leaders and periphery also ambient music as well. I want like a nice warm tone for soloing and nice definition for chords. Sorry i know rambled for ages but yeh would like your recommendation. :)

  • i like it when you start tracking the camara shakes! haha.

  • i hope ur thinking of having a part of the song where it chugs away for a while like at 0:26.. that would sound totally sexual..

good luck with the recording.. pretty keen to hear stuff

  • that track sounds sick, watching this makes me so f!@king angry my DAW crapped out on me

  • Nolly looks like Gordon Freeman. That is all

  • @123method Of course, he is secretly Gordon Freeman

  • Does anyone know if you need to do any modifications to this guitar if you want to put this exact bareknuckle in?

  • @Connor391 It should drop right in, just be sure to specify Dimarzio style triangular feet when you order, otherwise you'll have to trim them down to fit.

  • @Nollythegreat

    i ordered them earlier man

i didn't specify dimarzio style triangular feet, (not quite sure what you mean) :S

    ?

  • @Connor391 Ah no worries, it shouldn't be a big deal at all. The feet are the metal fixing tabs that the mounting screws pass through. You'll see what I mean when you get them.

  • @Nollythegreat

    oh right

so i won't need to get any modifications on my guitar, they'll just fit right in?

    cheers

  • @Connor391 You may have to clip the corners of the feet off to get them fit into the routes, but you can do that with a pair of wire clippers.

  • @Nollythegreat which of the bare knuckle pickups would you say is best for a 6 stringer and djenty stuff like you're playing? nailbomb?

  • @Nollythegreat when are we going to see this brutal song on red seas fires page?

  • Comment removed

  • I will buy your album.

  • IDK why it says comment deleted?? cause I never did.Anyways I said this video makes me want to try out the bareknuckle nailbomb in my spare 7321.All i use is a emg707 and the tone is beefy but harmonic content is Swamp Muddy

  • Fuckn sweet mate, djentlemanly.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome, man.

  • Yes!

  • Hi Nolly what's up? knowing that you both have (or had) an Axe FX Ultra and a Framus Cobra, between the two which do you prefer for a live situation and for the distortion tone only...?

  • You almost seem to enjoy recording which is a process I personally hate.

  • Love it man, we luuuuuurrrrve it!

  • You guys are amazing hurry up and get shit finished!

  • fuckin awesome sounds like after the burial

  • awesome !

  • freaking incredible.. i feel like you and the Periphery dudes are carrying on where Sikth left off.. you're both creating some of the prettiest, heaviest, most unique sounds ive ever heard.. and i can not wait to hear your album when its done :)

  • @YeshuaHamashia Yo man, i love how your saying this. But to be honest with you. No one will ever replace sikth. THEy are the most unique band and most intelligent musicians you will ever see.

  • @sikthoholic i agree that no one will ever replace them.. and ill even say that its possible that no band will ever be as good as them.. but i have faith that there are other musicians out there with loads of potential and talent who will continue to change the way we see music.. it'll never stop evolving as long as we're open to new ideas.. i believe the future of heavy music is in bands like RSF and Periphery who write to their abilities and dont dumb things down.. just my opinion :)

  • ooOoOoo, your british accents are so sexy ;) music is sounding pretty good chaps!

  • I see you are not clearly using your Blackmachine so I can take it off you hands for $20 :)

  • What monitors are you using?

  • @newyearsprayer Adam A7s

  • FUCKKkk... cant wait :D

  • That breakdown at the end of this vid has house demolition capabilities. that is so being played at a volume of immense magnitude

  • @7Kiymaira7 Hah, yeah it's fairly heavy!

  • incredible sound, man!!

  • I must say, that metronome is fucking brutal.

But that aside, the grooves are amazing, and I am VERY much looking forward to the new track + mini album. To the future!

  • ALSO, the way this kicks in with Pete's part is so ridiculously heavy, is there a sub here or something? If so, fancy passing on the wav file? :D

  • @AdamDamocles Thanks man! There's no sub drop there, it's just a combination of Pete hitting exactly in time with the kick drum and the camera mic compressing to buggery. And yeah, the Axe-FX is awesome, highly recommended

  • Holy shit guys. Fucking insane. So antsy to hear this, is the Axe-fx worth it? I have a feeling I know the answer...

  • Sounding great Nolly! Can't wait to hear the album in full.

  • And I get a reply...what a legend!

Good luck dude. Looking forward to the finished product!

  • Groovy Babyh!

  • damn sounds sick... so heavy that the sound waves begin to destroy the very fabric of space, causing everything to appear wavy when the sound starts.

  • Epic

  • what tuning do you guys play in

  • I THINK its A A D G B E

  • 7 String guitar man, we simply just play in drop A for this track.

  • Sounds awesome...can't wait to get ahold of this album.

  • Can't wait to hear your mini-album. Every little preview and clip I've heard so far is awesome!

Also, I like how your camera was like... being warped by the subwoofer. Haha it was really noticeable at the end bit.

  • FUCK YEAH! DJENT!

  • what everyone else said! x

  • what software did u guys use to record?

  • @xschuldinerx I use Logic

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD! THIS IS AWESOME! what chain are you using on the axe? (amp, drive, eq, etc)

  • @DrJacKo Haha, glad you like it! It's one of the tubescreamer drive models into the "5105", into a graphic EQ, into a Redwire Mesa Recto 4x12 IR. There's some post-eq in there too.

  • I think you are using the mesa recto 4x12 shure sm57 cap edge ir?

  • @DrJacKo That's correct. 4" back if I remember correctly

  • :Snax:

  • About time Nolly. FUCK!!!! Gets me?

  • @buckalori ... Lori?! You gets me though?

  • Gets me!

  • This is just mega.

Been waiting months for a new update! Cheers Adam! :D

  • @adamjohnlowe Awesome, thanks for bearing with us!

  • Heavy heavy grooves there guys, really brilliant. Although I was hoping for some hot blackmachine action :p

Are you gettin a B7 Nolly??

  • @PudWud1 Thanks mate, I will be getting a Blackmachine 7 sometime in the next few months!

  • How long have you been on the waitlist?

  • Sounds so epic, what tuning you guys using in that first riff?

  • @LairyFliquid Cheers! It's drop A throughout the video
