Were there any effects or plugins (adjusting/changing the tone) during recording. I find it hard to believe that tone is straight direct recorded (read that as astonishment and not confrontational)
Also, how do you find the rg7321? I know it's no daemoness or blackmachine, but how is it on the whole?
how is that ibanez with bareknuckles? i'm surprised at how popular the 7321s are becoming i figured you'd just have a black machine 7 so i'm pretty intrigued
yes. just "leave it as it is". It's brilliant. I will definitely buy your music and continue waiting for a time when you might have reason enough to come to Australia. Keep it up guys.
Hey Nolly I just bought a new Ibanez RGA121 NTF, What Bareknuckles would you recommend. Stuff im into is Fusion like greg howe, Metal/pol-rhythmic like your stuff, animals vs leaders and periphery also ambient music as well. I want like a nice warm tone for soloing and nice definition for chords. Sorry i know rambled for ages but yeh would like your recommendation. :)
@Connor391 It should drop right in, just be sure to specify Dimarzio style triangular feet when you order, otherwise you'll have to trim them down to fit.
@Connor391 Ah no worries, it shouldn't be a big deal at all. The feet are the metal fixing tabs that the mounting screws pass through. You'll see what I mean when you get them.
IDK why it says comment deleted?? cause I never did.Anyways I said this video makes me want to try out the bareknuckle nailbomb in my spare 7321.All i use is a emg707 and the tone is beefy but harmonic content is Swamp Muddy
Hi Nolly what's up? knowing that you both have (or had) an Axe FX Ultra and a Framus Cobra, between the two which do you prefer for a live situation and for the distortion tone only...?
freaking incredible.. i feel like you and the Periphery dudes are carrying on where Sikth left off.. you're both creating some of the prettiest, heaviest, most unique sounds ive ever heard.. and i can not wait to hear your album when its done :)
@YeshuaHamashia Yo man, i love how your saying this. But to be honest with you. No one will ever replace sikth. THEy are the most unique band and most intelligent musicians you will ever see.
@sikthoholic i agree that no one will ever replace them.. and ill even say that its possible that no band will ever be as good as them.. but i have faith that there are other musicians out there with loads of potential and talent who will continue to change the way we see music.. it'll never stop evolving as long as we're open to new ideas.. i believe the future of heavy music is in bands like RSF and Periphery who write to their abilities and dont dumb things down.. just my opinion :)
@AdamDamocles Thanks man! There's no sub drop there, it's just a combination of Pete hitting exactly in time with the kick drum and the camera mic compressing to buggery. And yeah, the Axe-FX is awesome, highly recommended
@DrJacKo Haha, glad you like it! It's one of the tubescreamer drive models into the "5105", into a graphic EQ, into a Redwire Mesa Recto 4x12 IR. There's some post-eq in there too.

when recording this groove, had the bass already been laid down, or was it just the guitar and drums at 0:25 (for example).
it sounds soooo good.
also, what amp sim did you use?
pinky5586 1 year ago
@pinky5586 Nope, no bass on there at that point. We're using the 5150 model for the most part.

so i won't need to get any modifications on my guitar, they'll just fit right in?

@Connor391 You may have to clip the corners of the feet off to get them fit into the routes, but you can do that with a pair of wire clippers.
