@skydragonfire93 Tenchi Universe was a remake of the original for the Tv Series, while Tenchi Muyo wasnt intended for the TV. it's why it had a different plot but the same characters. and this one is a side story.

Although GXP was made to follow up from Tenchi Muyo

Tenchi in Tokyo is another spin-off or alternate story, like Tenchi Universe (the two are not related, in fact none of them are related). The original canon, real material, is Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki. I like them in the order they were released: Ryo-Ohki, Universe and Tokyo. All worth watching but Ryo-Ohki has the best story and structure :) Hope I helped other Tenchi fans :)

one of the main things that killed this serries is its confusing direction and its lack of focus the plot is becomes more like Ranma 1/2 which becomes a bad animated japanese soap

also they keep changing voice actors which is annoying and confusing

this is the last and had nothing to do with the others. The animation was made much more simpler because this series focuses more on physical comedy, so the less detailed art makes it easier to animate fluid movements.
