He saw that the misfits were still popular so he took the name so he could launch his own music career without starting at square one.

The Danzig era of the misfits was more old school punk, and when Graves took it on he brought a new sound along with him. Graves took the misfits to a whole new level in the horror punk era. Graves and danzig are both Great singers and great guys in general.
It's cool how graves is a gentleman about the whole glenn thing. Never really cared for the graves era misfits, but it's clear that Michael was the best thing about it, next to Doyle. Jerry is such a poke.

I went to the Misfits show in NYC on halloween for the second time in my life and I thought to myself if i got to see any misfits lineup I COULD NOT choose! The Danzig era of the misfits was more old school punk, and when Graves took it on he brought a new sound along with him. Graves took the misfits to a whole new level in the horror punk era. Graves and danzig are both Great singers and great guys in general.

I loved famous monsters but Danzig is overall better than Graves by far. Graves is just different it's like it's not even the same band.

It's cool how graves is a gentleman about the whole glenn thing. Never really cared for the graves era misfits, but it's clear that Michael was the best thing about it, next to Doyle. Jerry is such a poke.

@blackacid79 well, Danzig and Jerry Only fought in court over the Misfits name, and Jerry is able to use it with certain conditions (which are usually met), so Danzig doesn't solely own the name; and, Jerry Only bashes Danzig all the time, and he's still milking the Misfits name for all it's worth

Damien Echols.....he's one of the West Memphis 3 who were found guilty of murdering 3 kids but they are really innocent and the cops arrested them just cause they were different than everyone in the redneck town and they were like goth or metal fans. Alot of the songs Graves wrote during Misfits era I absolutely love. Too bad a small part of them are played nowadays. If Danzig won't rejoin Misifts for the fans and not for a high sum of money then so be it, Graves would still be awesome to see perform with Misfits again.

danzig was as michale says an icon.... but that is only becuase he came b4 michale as the fits have had terrible luck w/ lead singers and drummists .... but i must say here it is cut and dry glenn after the fits was a great vocalist and during the misfits era michale was the best writer / lyricisit

Yeah, I LOVE Danzig. I'm as big of a Danzig fan as they get. BUT I never disliked Graves at all. He's a nice guy and darn it, he's a good vocalist too! Graves never had a problem with Danzig, and Danzig never had a problem with Graves. The only problem is Jerry Only lol

I went to the Misfits show in NYC on halloween for the second time in my life and I thought to myself if i got to see any misfits lineup I COULD NOT choose! Graves, Danzig, or Only it doesn't matter the misfits would not be who they are without everyone who was ever in the lineup! Im just happy to have any of the misfits still doing shows in my time!!!

I think this is a good vid for the Graves haters/Danzig lovers to watch. It will help the old skool misfits fans accept Graves as a good, down to earth guy, and a good contributtion to the Misfits. Michale talkes about the graves/danzig eras being two totally seperate things, and I totally agree. If your a hardcore Danzig era fan you can carry on that way, thats totally cool. But dont talk shit about Graves being a fag and stuff cuz " Its two totally different things ". Respect them both.
